Freepers and the rest of the wrong wing of the web feel the Moveon vote is no big deal
I have mixed feelings about this. Yes the ad was deplorable, and even more deplorable was the fact that the NYT gave them a deep discount. That being said, I don’t believe it’s any of the Senate’s damn business what gets published in a newspaper.

So maybe there are a few Democrats who aren’t owned outright by George Soros. That makes me feel a bit better about the country.

DU and Kos are taking names. Hehehehehehe

Although we got 26 Dems, we need to keep the heat on them. We need to keep the heat on them, right up to election day.

Posturing for the Press. In private, they’re wishing they could’ve voted No. And the folks at moveon don’t care a whit.

A waste of time to get Hillary on record voting that she APPROVES OF THE “GENERAL BETRAY US” AD? I think not.

I do not think it was a waste of time at all. Cornyn forced the hand of those supporting MoveOn.org...and look at the list...Obama's not show is as good as a "Nay". With him and Clinton in that category...it was a very good thing. The GOP will be able to make some hay of this (as well they should) during the elections.

The General is a person that these very people voted for...and now they will not sensor a group that shows such horrible disrespect for him?

...and when you add the fact that the DNC leadership meets daily with MoveOn...I believe it was a very crafty politcal move, and valuable. But that's just my opinion.

The dems know they cant lose on this one..

They come out smelling like roses they condemn the attack but it will drive more funding to MoveOn and on election day like it or not the moveon folks will vote for the very democratic senators they are ‘upset with’

I think most of us would agree, but this a golden moment for conservatives to make the liberals put up or shut up. Esp people like Clinton.

moveon reports that their membership has grown since that ad. I assume that is all they care about . .

The clinton Chinese Mafia no doubt designed the ad. Pray for W and Our Freedom Fighters

ooooh , an empty, nonbinding resolution. That’ll really show ‘em. Don’t they realize they are just giving free publicity to moveon? barf alert.

Note the Democratic Presidential nominees either voted Nay or never voted...............

Somebody order 25 orange jumpsuits in a variety of sizes, please.

Maybe they can’t have an original thought ... only spewing back what their handler (MoveOn.Org) tells them. And evidently, yhey were out to lunch and missed the conference call their other DEM buddies all got.

Looks like all of those voting “no” were Dems or Independents (Sanders). All those not voting were Dems. If this was a matter of principle, then why is the vote so partisan?

How can all of these Senators vote against condemning an ad that calls a US general commanding US troops in the field during wartime a traitor, and get away with it?

What's really ironic is that these same Senators confirmed Paetraus too.

If the GOP does not capitalize on this vote by Hillary, they don’t deserve to win.

Democrats are beginning to feel the heat for their anti-war stance.

No they aren't this was a vote of expediency they want to change the US into something most Americans don't want so they have to make it look like they give a darn !

Why don't they tell the UN and madinijihad {dont care how he spells his name } to keep his arse in his country or if he steps on US soil he will immediatly be takern into custody and any UN onvoy will be arrested for aiding the enemy ?

Rush just mentioned this HISTORIC vote right NOW! DAMN!

Wow!

How did the GOP Senate minority pull this one off? The last thing in the world the ‘rats needed was an on-the-record tally on the MoveOn morons. Rock and a hard place... either be lumped in with the loonies or get cut off from their $$$.

Why can’t the ‘pubbies be this clever and vicious when they’re in the majority?

All either looney or pretty passive. Not even anywhere comparable to the left side of the web's reaction.

Ha! And the GOPers thought this was going to motivate their base.

How wrong can GOPers be these days?

1. Personally, I think the resolution was pointless....
Nothing but a colossal waste of time.

2. That's the problem...
Freepers recognize empty rhetoric even when THEY spout it and Democrats are outraged by the hypocracy of their politicians even when it doesn't matter....I don't like it but DO recognize why a politician might say "yeah-sure,whatever" and move on towards votes that do have consequences. 27 democrats decided to take a pass on voting to be slimed for "dishonoring the troops"-I don't agree but do "get it"....
