Ya Know What... I Think I've Decided On My Vote For 2008 !!!
Al Gore.

I'm gonna write Al Gore in for my California Primary vote.

I'm gonna write in Al Gore for my California Presidential vote.

I am NOT gonna play the game anymore.

I cannot watch the party I have loved all my life, kneel down to give suckage to all that I was taught was not America.

Either I was led astray in my youth to believe this bullshit, or my party has acquiesced to laying on it's back and peeing in the air.

I made a promise to myself, that 2006 was it. That I would do all I could do, and vote Democratic for the sea change so very needed in the country of my birth.

I DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE LACK OF VOTES!!!

It's the lack of guts that has me tanked.

So... I will vote for a Democrat. I will at least in my minuscule personal way, try to shout the name of the person I respect, and want.

But I will no longer, with a wink and a nod, participate in the crappy buffet we've been forced to sup from.

8. Ya Know What Else Drives Me Around The Bend ???
This was a couple of months back, and I was half asleep to the show, and I DO NOT have the citation, but...

On a political talk show, a political pundit, asked a guest on the show this question:

"Do you believe... that if Hillary Clinton were not in this race, that Al Gore would have thrown his hat into the ring?"

The answer by the guest: "Yes, most definitely!"

I HATE THIS WHOLE FUCKING GAME!!!

... and since I *certainly* don't thing you're a blithering idiot, I won't insult your intelligence by treating you as such.

Additionally, I would have to use, erm, SENTENCES (yeeeaarrghh!) to explain what any of those sentences means. Obviously you can see the problem, since you're very intelligent.

nominee.

BUT, when it comes to the general election...YOU HAVE TO VOTE DEM!

We do not have a parliamentary system. Voting for D or R is your ONLY choice then.

It is also real. But feel free to stick your head in the sand.

I've had far more folks of Liberal\Democrat persuasion tell me they're done in the last 5 months, than in my entire life.

The question will end up being... for every independent\former republican we gain, how many democrats\liberals do we hemorrhage?

We may still win in '08, but not by nearly the margins we should.

ostriches will lie flat on the ground with their necks stretched out when predators approach. This makes them look like just a mound of dirt on the ground. From a distance it can look like they've got their heads stuck in the sand, but it's not true.

54. Hey Willy!
:hi:

I am in the same place -- after having to vote for John "Pro-IWR" Kerry in 2004, I swore 2008 was going to be my "tough love" year for the Dems.

I'm 47 fucking years old. I have voted religiously for every single Democratic Presidential nominee since 1980. Even when I was not all that hot for the candidate, I showed up and cast my vote. But I, too, am tired of my party giving me candidates who fail to lead, fail to be truly visionary, and sometimes even fail to resemble what I thought a Democrat was.

This time I am going to vote for the Democratic candidate I want to be President, even if that means writing in their name in the general.

Solidarity!

58. Yipee!
We have the same candidate.

In the third week of October 2004, I received my PAPER ballot in the mail. I quickly filled it out, w/the exception of the President.

Sick to my tummy, I drew that arrow to John Kerry one day before we had to turn in our ballots.

It was then that I promised myself - never again would I vote out of fear. Never again would I vote for the lesser of two evils.

I am keeping that promise to myself.

RUN AL RUN!
