Yeah, and life would be better if we all won the Powerball. Anyone who wants more Republicans needs a date with a shrink, unless he is a CEO of a Fortune 500 company. The Demos as hamstrung in Congress by those Republicans who are afraid of joining their friends in the unemployment line this next election. Serve Mr. Republican another waffle, please.

Well, I was born in Georgia, but I spent my elementary school years in Enterprise, AL. That's when I became an Auburn fan. All the best kickball players were AUBURN fans, doncha know? Ipso facto and all that. B-)
I did have my collarbone broken at the Shades Valley YMCA in Birmingham, at a judo tournament, though.
I moved out of the state for highschool and college (Kentucky), and then lived in Mobile for about a year in 1980.
There were a couple of other states in there during the years - SC & OH.
Now if you meant, where am I now?
Well, I'm currently in Wisconsin and I've been here just over a year. Before that I lived in North Carolina for about 23 years.

18. This is a Yin and Yang deal. |
|
It keeps us locked in a false hope that is proving to be more obvious over time. Unlike the days when TV and newspapers, plus a little gossip, were locked into place as the dominant myth making devices, people were more easily manipulated by a dualistic system that supported one ideal, ideology, and direction for the populace at large.
With loyalty to parties, no matter how entrenched they are, we find ourselves making more compromises in order to serve their agendas. And then, we find, that their agendas represent an agenda that is largely foreign to us, self-serving, and based on capitalistic goals that betray our needs, wants, and interests.
In the end, our dominance to what seems to be normal and natural and about choice, (since it has prevailed so long) turns out to be a form of placation and a sporting event were we are privileged to root for this or that, but have very little impact or say so on the plays being made. Neither do we participate in the bounty of the game that is being played over and above our heads as a people.
We merely get similar results over and over as the cycle goes round and around while one hand feeds the other in the supposedly warring parties we observe.
After all, the Yin and the Yang merely represent two, polar opposites that are actually manifestations of a oneness.

The Democrats in Congress seem intent upon losing, and they won't even exercise their ability to control the agenda. It's almost as if they have the same agenda as the Republicans.

You mean those guys the Democrats couldn't even be bothered to filibuster? The Federalist Society guys they pretty much all just agreed were swell fellas? You don't think they would've been confirmed if we'd had this Democratic Congress?
I think that's debatable.

26. I can give you one main difference that I can see: we now have verified information |
|
about Bushie Felonies openly committee, which we long suspected so hard we already "knew" (and by "knew" I mean like all the German Jews "knew" about their version of Halliburton Camps springing up all over Eastern Europe, even though it was never on "Nazi CNN", whatever radio station that was in 1943), but that is not the same as the proof that the Democrats have uncovered and the numerous perjuries they forced Gonzales to make ON VIDEO TAPE and under OATH sinec january.
Sadly, what is the same is that, even with enough evidence already exposed to justify huge investigations (if anyone could be found to pursue them or Democrats to authorize actual criminal invstigations which are so clearly warranted now), nothing gets done.
So, in the realm of actions taken on important issue of unConstitutionality and Corruption, there has, in fact, been little or no difference at all between the 109th and 110th Imperial Congresses.

and they know it, too. so now they don't need to pander to the unwashed masses to win our votes, so we get to see them doing what they please. you may be okay with that, but the people who are pissed about it have every right to be.
