Scarborough not on today; Dan Rather will be in the next hour. |
|
Willie Geist claims he'll give him some time to do some explainin'.

1. Yeah, watching it. Willie did a better job of interviewing General |
|
Clark then I expected, was not confrontational with him. Guess he knew better after the shellacking the general gave Willie's buddy Tucker.

3. I just listened to the interview and Rather didn't say anything different than on last night's |
|
Larry King interview. What was interesting was the comments by Scarborough afterwards. He did not ridicule Rather, demean him and he said, that for anyone who knows Dan Rather, this isn't about the money. Scarborough also said he'd go back to look about the TANG papers never been proven a fake. As to the papers, I recall quite clearly, the person who tried to debunk them claimed they were created by MS Word. That there wasn't a typewriter back then that couldn't have created them. That Was Patently Untrue. IBM had two selectric type typewriters that had the interchangeable balls that could have been used.

4. I hope Scarborough isn't just blowing smoke, as he can and does do |
|
often. I think any publicity Rather can get on this is good publicity. Wouldn't it just be great if the TANG stories are legitimized? WE know about the dim one's military failures, but Rather's firing kind of put the kebosh on that. I'm glad he's addressing it again, and hope he wins this suit!

years and by next week it will be forgotten news.
I also hope that someone would run with this, not only the TANG story but how CBS held up the story of Abu Grhaib at the request of the dark forces. We need someone who is high profile, willing to take the chance and yet I am so disheartened and don't believe anyone will.
