MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Students packed a UW Madison career fair this afternoon. They were not looking for a job. They were protesting Halliburton's presence at the event.
The students sat in front of the company's booth, singing anti-war songs and virtually blocking access to the company's four recruiters. snip
The event ended peacefully after about 90 minutes. But some of the students attending the career fair were clearly annoyed by the disruption.
Student Renee Miller stepped through sitting protesters after meeting with a Halliburton recruiter. Miller says she's just trying to get her resume out there and get a job.
