Where are all the Hillary Clinton is a hero threads?
where are all the posters praising her for showing a spine and standing up to the chimp yesterday and voting no on the MoveOn ad resolution? She also publicly called Cheney Darth Vader the other day, and I think that took cojones myself. :applause:

She's not my candidate, but I will give her props for her actions which I assume are designed to get under Bushco's skin this past week.

If this is pandering, she's doing a good job of it, I'll give her that.

1. Rabid DUer policy is that Clinton can do nothing good. Even when it's good, it's bad if it's Clinton

what those 100,000 or so DUers we never hear from think.

Maybe there's a reason the rabid ones post so much...

19. OK, to be perfectly clear...
I think that far too many of the adults here just don't bother getting involved with much of this sort of silliness. Perhaps they have more important things to do than rant on a message board or get involved in flamefests.

The hysterical, the rabid haters and lovers, the fools, and the kiddies seem to have far more time on their hands.

Lest we forget, this is the board that had people getting into murderous rages over how to fry chicken.

29. It was a while ago-- someone mentioned using...
Edited on Fri Sep-21-07 10:26 AM by TreasonousBastard
corn flakes in the batter for fried chickan and all hell broke loose. Apparently, that was a big no-no for some and the flame war went on for a few days. I was a mod at the time and I remember it drove us nuts. Skinner had some things to say about it, too-- like he needs that kind of crap here.

From what I remember, it was far worse than the Olive Garden fracas or the Circuit City tossup. Did a search for it, but the search thingy timed out.

So, some of us tend to look askance at the rabidity of some of the posters here. We're really not sure whether some of them are ranting their frustrations, intentional trolls and disrupters, or should just check into an institution.

on edit-- I see someone found it. I am trying not to revisit the nightmare.

14. Sadly, it's posts like yours
that can fuck up threads praising Clinton.

How often have I seen an OP saying soemthing good about her only to have someone show up and splatter snark all over the place early on, totally ruining the positive tone of the thread.

Nice work.

Julie

5. Nothing heroic about not condemning a simple political ad. It
was just common sense.

We will never forget Hillary's "heroism" when she stood in support of Bush's IWR, putting her at odds with many of her natural supporters.

We will not forget Hillary's "heroism" in standing for the continuation of a US military presence for years to come in Iraq. Putting her at odds with her natural supporters. But in conformity with her funders and the big boys of DC.

and i hold each birdbrain accountable.
kerry edwards lieberman and the whole list --- they each are qualified to be cleaning out restroom stalls at various greyhound bus stations... they do not have a right to be in the US senate after that terrible vote.

6. I have e-mailed or called all the spineless Democrats.
I am just so upset with what's going on with our 'so-called majority'. What a joke. It amazes me how the minority got this bill through, no problem, in fact 24 (plus Bernie Sanders makes it 25) gutless senators stood by this gang of swiftboaters. :puke: :puke:

7. Hillary does plenty that is good. Hillary is also a brilliant mind.
But Hillary puts 'the corporation' ahead of what should be the priorities of 'We the People'; that FACT is undeniable.

11. I think DU only has Hillary bashes as top posters
that's probably why they wanted to be top posters. That's the problem. The democrats are as bad as the republicans for standing up for their politic ans that do show guts. You don't hear too many of them praising Ted Kennedy, John Kerry either and those two STAND UP ALL THE TIME for us. All the top posters do is bash Hillary and root for Obama.

but I am glad Hillary did the right thing by standing up for free speech! I don't always agree with her on everything she does, but she did the right thing in this case.

I will vote for her if she is the eventual nominee!

So "you go girl"! You did NYS proud!

31. Who gives a rat's patootey...
..what Hillary says during a heated campaign season.

Her actions are what counts, not her Star Wars references.

She's done NOTHING AT ALL that has stopped or impeded the BushCo train
wreck from: Dismantling our Constitution, making torture our national pastime,
decimating our civil rights, stopping war with Iran, ending the war in Iraq,
shutting down Guantanamo or stopping illegal wiretapping.

In fact, she's barely said anything about these things as they were happening
during the past nightmare eight years! We may get a soundbyte now and again,
but nothing that she has done or said has in any way changed anything.

It's very cute that she called Cheney Darth Vader. However, how does that change
anything? She's got the experience, clout and power as a New York Senator to change
things and to galvanize the Dems into fighting this outrageous administration.

She does not!

Is there anyone left on this board--besides the paid bloggers and operatives--who actually
believe that she's not in on all of this??? The DLC neocons and the Republican neocons
are in bed together, and we're all getting screwed! Anyone who believes that these
warmongers "respect the American people in the morning" after being rogered seven ways to
Sunday--is living in a fool's paradise.

I'd like it even better if she supported no permanent presence in Iraq and real universal health care, but you are right. Any kind of good behavior should be rewarded.
