C-Span this morning ...the hatred and venom towards Iranian President creeps me out |
|
Edited on Fri Sep-21-07 08:05 AM by Roxy66
Look, anyone who does not think the Holocaust occurred has an alternate reality, but the spewing hatred towards this guy that is expressed in the newspaper editorials, and callers from this morning really surprised me. He did not attack us on 9-11. It just freaks me out that there is so much fear and venom towards a guy who came from a Country, that on 9-11, had people in the streets mourning for the victims in New York. The Iranian people are not Evil. Bush accomplished his mission....the Axis of Evil" stuck...and he has convinced even Dems that he is evil and needs to be destroyed. We will be going to war soon. Would this kind of hatred be encouraged by a Democratic President...or do you think tolerance and diplomacy would be encouraged.

2. This is their 'news' feed everyday from the bigots in their world. |
|
I do try to read some of the crap they spew on a daily basis, limpballs, o'liely, insanity (the usual suspects) and the bile their listeners ingest everyday is relieved by calling C-Span every morning.

3. One caller suggested taking him to a butcher shop, hang him and |
|
use his body to break the fast for the jewish holiday. Not kidding. This is the kind of thing on C-Span this morning.

That would explain the frequent Two Minute Hates.

6. The callers are only doing |
|
what they have been trained to do. To blindly lash out at whomever limbaugh and hannity instruct them to. hannity was foaming at the mouth yesterday about the Iranian guy (can't spell his name off the top of my head.)
Despite what they are told, they are mindless robots, who also think they are patriotic, that bush is a war hero and that limbaugh is really a great honest American.

9. I don't want to bomb Iran |
|
Nor would I welcome an Iranian leader into my home or country frankly. Their treatment of women and gays is horrible.
I don't care if he goes to ground zero as long as he doesn't use it as a photo opp backdrop to an anti-American speech.

You want to know the most horrific DICTATOR of Iran in modern history?
The Shah of Iran whom we and the Brits installed after a democratic election in 1953? :wow:
Mengala would have taken notes on the antics of the brutal Shah's secret police - feared by ALL! :scared:
Now ask yourself, why do you think THEY HATE AMERICA?
Could it possibly be that we GAVE THEM this murderous thug whom they finally ousted in 1979?
Don't doubt that if we had our way, we'd install another Shah of Iran.
But but if you were part of the ruling elite and a woman, you'd be treated A OK. :eyes:

14. I don't disagree with your post |
|
American administrations messing in middle eastern countries has caused huge problems. I still do not give these regimes a pass nor would I ever welcome them with open arms.
Like I said. I don't want to bomb them, but I despise these leaders and it is my biggest hope that someday these religious zealots will be cast out by their own people and that women will finally be treated as full human beings.

23. Yes, I agree ... I don't give them a pass either - just don't like the beating of the war drums. |
|
Iran has a theocracy. However, as a bordering neighbor of Iraq, they do have a valid interest in their stability. What Bush-Co fail to remind us is that we funded both sides (Iran and Iraq) in a bloody war. The Iraqis WILL NOT allow Iran to take over.
But yes, DICTATORS need to be overthrown by their own people. I wonder, regardless of who's elected President in 2008, will we EVER be able to restore the "balance of power" between our three branches of government? - OR is America cursed with our own MONARCHY known as "The Unitary Executive?"

10. Yeah, and too many people now have "stars in their eyes" as they listen to this |
|
smarmy political errand boy General on now. :eyes:
A big fat shit sandwich with a dash of jingoism on the side is all they have to sell us to give up OUR CHILDREN to the meat grinder as well as glady relent TRILLIONS of our tax dollars to the war machine corporations.
And FAR TOO MANY PEOPLE are buying into this hype - all because these morally bankrupt men who speak for the war profiteers have *such pretty stars* on their shoulders. :puke:

16. Bush and his cronies launched a PR campaign against Iran that |
|
is aimed at making the American people feel like an attack on Iran is the only way to keep them safe from terrorists. Unfortunately, it's working.

18. well - this led to one of the most bizarre radio conversations I have ever heard |
|
We have this reich-wing clown behind the microphone in the Orlando area - Bud Hedinger.
Someone called yesterday as they were discussing this and thought it would be a good idea for junior to meet him a ground-zero and body-slam him. He could obviously "take" him because he is in such better shape. They went on to actually discuss this - like it could actually happen - for several minutes.
These guys have lost the few marbles I used to give them credit for.
