Abe on a Plane
September 20, 7:20 PM
Madame Tussauds flew its wax statue of Abraham Lincoln to D.C. on a Delta Shuttle flight on Thursday. Abe rode in the coach section with regular, non-presidential passengers. As for how they got him to sit down, a spokeswoman informs us that he will be depicted in a seated position in the wax museum, which opens in Penn Quarter on Oct. 5th.

2. I'd glady sit beside Abe
After some of the people that I have had to sit beside on flights lately, I'd jump at the chance to sit near Abe.

3. I'd settle for a flight that is underbooked, like that one!
Abe would be a bonus.

8. It looks like an Airbus all-cattle config to me.
I have been on a fair few of those: six-across, no separation in the cabin, very democratic in that everyone is equally crammed in. Pretty common for short-hauls, which is what the Shuttle does. Aer Lingus and Delta both dote on that layout.

5. Unfortunately
the wax former president wouldn't stop staring menacingly at the flight attendant during the safety instructions, so he was melted down by the flight crew.

6. I don't like the looks of him
those kooky eyes that never blink, the wacky extremist beard-with-no-moustache, the weird clothes...

LET'S ROLL!
