General Kevin Bergner is on C-Span spouting the party line on success in Iraq. Like Petraeus before him the tool has noted several times that a clear sign of progress in Iraq is that Iraq's security forces are increasingly out on the streets evidenced by the fact that they are taking increasing casualties.

In what make-believe universe is it a sign of progress that more rather than less policemen are being killed in the streets?

Seems to me I also heard it with the Fr. in Asia and Africa. Brits even did it in this same country once. Face it, other people trying to rule your country by force, if you do not want it, does not work well. Heck as a regular Am. even I can see that. It is just beating your head on a stone wall or so I think. Right now all my Congress people are sort of voting to get out. Replace Collins and it will even be more to my liking. Tom Allen never liked the war and I do hope he wins.
