6 Senators did not vote - anyone know who?

Smith, Hagel, Snowe (r) voted Aye.

47-47 Vote. Just got in and saw the result.

Far short of the 60 needed. Even if we flipped the Dems and got the abstentions (did they officially abstain?) we still need 4 (R)s.

Dammit.

2. I don't know - they are running the results on the bottom half
of the screen on C-Span2.

I was hoping to find a thread on it - but didn't - so I started one with a total lack of information (sorry!)

3. No worries. I wasn't really asking you for a reason, just
venting my frustration that he'd vote that way.

5. Nelson--no, Hagel--aye. Why did Nelson and Pryor change their minds?
Did they suddenly decide to back Chimpy? Dodd--may have been making some sort of purity protest here. But it's Nelson I'm worried about--did he buy the "surge is working" bullshit? Thank God Hagel didn't--what a weird situation, when your Repub Senator stands strong and your Dem Senator licks Chimpy's balls.

7. This is really terrible--we've lost two Dems on ending the war. Our line
is broken--Harry Reid lost control of them. Goddamn Ben Nelson--fucking traitor. He VOTED for this in JULY!!! WTF?
