Boehner tells Pelosi to follow Senate and put up resolution about MoveOn.org, she declines
Edited on Fri Sep-21-07 10:07 AM by ck4829
House Republican leader John Boehner, R-Ohio, said the House should consider a similar measure to Senator Cornyn's. But when asked if House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., would allow it, spokesman Nadeam Elshami said in an e-mail: "The House is going to devote its full attention to providing health care to children, promoting energy independence to improve America's security, reducing global warming, and responsibly redeploying U.S. forces now in Iraq.

"These are the priorities of the American people
," he said.

What about the sins of George Bush? Madame Squeaker needs to put IMPEACHMENT, ending the IRAQ WAR and preventing any attack on IRAN at the head of that list!

IMPEACH Nancy IMPEACH!

There will be no meaningful change or movement at all on any of these issues as long as the bush cabal is still in power. She knows it too, which is the part that upsets me so.

15. Not true.
John Cornyn stepped up to amend a bill that was under debate. You don't have to ask permission from the majority leader to do that .

Boehner was asking for a resolution to be brought to the floor. That would require that the Dems let it out of committee.

31. You apparently are unfamiliar with the Senate's rules and procedures
which are much different from those in the House. Its far easier for the Speaker to block a measure from coming to the floor in the House than it is for the majority leader to do so in the Senate. Indeed, Cornyn's amendment was entitled to a vote under Senate rules (either directly or through a vote on a motion to table).

13. Hey Nancy,
Boehner: Hey Nancy, I've got an idea, let's pretend I'm still the majority leader!

Pelosi: Hey Jonnycakes, I've got a better idea -- Why don't you go f*** yourself!

19. bush better know as the Perpetrator
says to the country yesterday about the bill sent to him to sign, containing the provision to fund children's health insurance, that it was a political ploy by the democrats.

I don't understand the Perp on that one. The democrats want health insurance for children, bush won't sign it. SO WHO IS PLAYING POLITICS. It sure as hell ain't the democrats.

28. Who are they more afraid of? Us or the Republicans.
If we put the fear into them, they'll vote for us.

I hope that comes across the right way. I just think the Dems in Congress have been voting out of fear, and perhaps even ignorance. When we speak up, they'll listen. Or so I hope and think.
