New York, NY (Rotters)- In a vote of 3,100,000 to 100,000 yesterday, the members of MoveOn.org voted overwhelmingly to place a second ad in the New York Times this weekend condemning the U.S. Congress for wasting time condemning them over their previous ad condemning General David Petraeus as "General Betray us". The ad implies that both houses of Congress, in particular the leadership, are "Ass-kissing little chickenshits", a term which has been used to refer to General Petraeus by his superiors in the past.

The real news of the 2006 election, the MSM have ignored: The role that ordinary people played in the election; the power of people vs. the power of money.

One cogent example is the election of Jim Webb in Virginia. His campaign was powered by people, not by money...and with far less money than Aleen, Webb won.

A friend in Virginia is a good example. She walked the boardwalk in Virginia Beach on weekends and Town Point Park in Norfolk during Festevents events in the summer and fall of '06 dragging a small red wagon with Webb posters and information...and talking to people.

My friend canvassed neighborhoods for Webb and called voters. She was just one of hundreds who devoted countless hours to the fight to elect Webb.

What my friend did in Virginia was repeated across the country as incumbents were defeated and Democrats finally seized the House and Senate.

MoveOn is a grassroots effort and grassroots are made up of the people--the very people that too many of our elected leaders snub.

No wonder elected officials from both parties fear MoveOn!
