Andrew Meyer did a good thing |

He may be an asshole, he may have deserved arrest (I think he did), but he didn't deserve to be tasered.
It took a white college kid in front of a U.S. Senator and a camera, to shine a spotlight on the abusive use of tasers by police departments. The profile of these abuses has been immensely heightened.
That's a good thing, and I bet this case leads to departments reviewing taser use protocols.

2. Well at least we agree on *something*. |

Tasers are a good deal more dangerous than a lot of people realise.

My only problem with most threads on the subject was that Andrew became a saint, and somehow John Kerry was responsible for campus police.
I can agree that tasers appear to be a bad thing, esp. in the hand of some cops.
