Durbin and Boxer were less PC the other day and mentioned these DESPICABLE band-aids in addition to the swiftboat ads. If not in the amendment itself, then at least in their speeches. It was the R convention, for crying out loud! The whole effing party, not a supposedly independent organization. And the idiotic and repugnant band-aids were not only attacking Kerry, but implicitly the whole military system that awarded him these honors.

The band-aids serve as a reminder to me that Republicans are without conscience.

Every time one of our troops is injured or killed, the disgrace of that Purple Heart desecration is compounded.

Those bastards hated (and feared) Kerry, so they maligned the service of all service men and women who have ever died or been injured in battle. That's unforgivable.

Those people are traitors. Remember the Flag Burning amendment? Well, what about an amendment protecting Purple Hearts, Medals of Honor and other symbols given in honor of patriotic men and women who have served our country in battle?
