482 billionaires in the US - Forbes 400 can't include them all |
|
I have a feeling none of them will not see this discussion. These must be the people who the Bush tax plans are set up to protect. There is Gates and the various Waltons and the Mars families. I am going to puke :puke: list: http://www.forbes.com/lists/2006/54/biz_06rich400_The-400-Richest-Americans_Rank.htmlstory: http://www.forbes.com/2006/09/21/americas-400-richest-biz_cx_mm_06rich400_0921richintro.html Collective net worth of the top 400: $1.25 Trillion. Think of that while your kids and grandkids pay off Bush's follies.

Here's what I wrote before the 2004 elections
"For all of his tax cuts for the wealthy, Bush has not done very well for them either. From 1999 to 2000 the net worth of the Forbes 400 went from 1 trillion to 1.2 trillion. From 2003 to 2004 the net worth of the Forbes 400 increased 45 billion to 1 trillion. So the Forbes 400 has apparently lost 200 billion dollars since Bush took office."
Consider that. The Fortune 400 gained .2 trillion in net worth in 1999. From 2000 until today they have gained a mere .05 trillion. That's .05 trillion under seven years of Bush versus .2 trillion under one year of Clinton. Take note Waltons, et. al., the rich do even better in a booming economy.
