43 pukes + Lieberman and 3 Democrats voted to block legislation today sponsored by Levin to bring the troops home. Note Christopher Dodd's NAY vote has a footnote (see story).

With almost 3 of 4 Americans now saying the war was a mistake and even more saying they want (at the very least) a firm time-table tied to continued war funding; why do pukes continue to march in lock step with Shrub? Are they that fucking dedicated to a failed leader, a failed policy, and a failed surge?

To flat out ignore the will of the American people seems like political suicide? Not to mention trampling on the Constitution and in particular, the 1st Amendment. Our only consolation to rethug rule is that their arrogance will lead to a generation or generations of the Democratic Party leading our government! This may mark the beginning of the end of the Republican party as we know it.

Kudos to Sens. Olympia Snowe, Gordon Smith, Chuck Hagel - who voted with 44 Democrats in favor of the bill today!

And to Ben Nelson and Mark Pryor who voted NAY --- enjoy your ride on a sinking ship.

2. They seem intent on having no say in this debacle, and blocking Dem. action to address it.
"Sinking ship" is an apt metaphor.

4. I heard that Republicans are siding with the President until after the primaries.
Then they will become anti-war. But for now, they need to appeal to their lunatic base.

5. I don't think voters know these bills are even happening
now blocking funding would get their attention.

12. The true troop supporting bills:
Webb's Amendment of rest for exploited soldiers and others to set a deadline for the beginning of withdrawal have been killed by obstructionist rethugs. And hardly a word mentioned.

The thugs condemn MOveon in the Senate and call it a "Support Our Troops" resolution, and it's all over the place. The non-binding no-law nothing-vote that gives as much support to the troops as those god damned yellow magnets is the vote of focus.

It's truly amazing how effective a criminal political party can be if they follow the leader like a cult.

6. gerrymandering has set them free
to pander to their base, while democratic reps ignore theirs.

7. They really like the dictatorial thing.
Otherwise all this makes no sense at all. 75% of Americans are against what they are doing and they know it.

8. I am still mighty pissed at Ben Nelson's "no" vote, especially since Hagel voted for it.

9. The Sad thing is very few Americans will read or even
know anything about this.

The Reporters will say The Democrats have once again failed.
The Republicans stuck to their guns. hardly anything will be
mentioned about what the Legislation provided.

The Democrats failed, Once again the Democrats failed.

My point is what the GOP did or a negative "obstruction" is
never mentioned.

As long as the Dems depend on the Media, they lose.

11. They fear exposure.
As long as the MSM and the Dems help them hide their crimes, they fear the wrath of voters less.

13. Why would you fear voters when you can rig the elections...
Knowing you will get away with it?
