4. he's debating some dude as to whether the Iranian President should be allowed to speak
in the US.

Schultzie was saying, "So you don't support Free Speech then? How is letting him answer questions from real Americans a bad thing?"

then he said "There are liberals dying in the Middle East"

it rocked! He didn't back down or let himself be out shouted :woohoo:

14. I usually do not support Schultz, but hey when it works, it works.
When confronting GOPers, stand up.

Not an ideal DLC/BlueDog/GOPers adhere to.

8. Ron doesn’t want Iranian pres to speak at Columbia
and he’s mad that the school hates the military, because they won’t allow recruitment

Schultz is pissed. Tells Ron that conservatives hate freedom of speech so much they condemn newspaper ads
Ed would like Iranian pres to go on his radio show.

7. He is sooo good
Schultz was kicking butt about liberals in uniform, "all you conservatives want to do is bomb everybody," too many one-liners to list.

As far as Matthews, as I mentioned in a post the other day, he is not doing well. His diabetes is getting worse and he simply refuses to take more time off and it's obvious to me he is working ill today. He's trying, but it comes through and there's much less life in him today.

11. His diabetes is getting worse? Do you mean he can't control
his blood sugar? How do you know that?

13. He's had complications on and off for a while now
When he doesn't announce he'll be gone and then there's a guest host for several days - that's what is going on. It's been a fight for him. A lot of people don't realize he is 61 years old and the older you get, the harder it is to battle some of these things when they are effecting other vital organs. I've know the Matthews family since his early days at the San Francisco Examiner. It's a great Democratic family, too, by the way.

16. and except for Tweety himself
who regularly fawns over Bush and the GOP, while showing contempt for every Dem he has on his show. He takes a break from dissing Dems a few days a month to boost his ratings with more moderate viewers, but goes right back to shilling for the WH asap.

I'm not sure which Dems are fooled by his act any longer, but am willing to bet its only those who live inside the Beltway.

18. You are very, very wrong
He calls them as he sees them. Which, as I've always said, makes him more of a "Fair & Balanced," journalist than anything from Fox Noise. Read his books - he has always been a committed Democrat, was Chief of Staff to Tip O'Neil, ran for Congress as a Democrat, was speechwriter for Jimmy Carter, and in his 61 years has he been perfect? No. I disagree with him about this and that - like everybody else I know. But make no mistake, Matthews heart will always be with the Democratic Party. There's no question about that.

17. I meant HIS family
As in, the Chris Matthews family. I don't know if there's an extended family around that doesn't have members of "other" political parties. As for Chris Matthews, he ran for Congress as a young man from his home district in Pennsylvania - as a Democrat. He has one especially activist son who, I believe, worked in the Dean campaign in '03-'04.

12. I had to turn him off before Schultz was on...but noticed alot of makeup on Tweety
and it was a bad job makeup...made his nose look odd..

Usually diabetes doesn't affect one's face...my brother is on dialysis and it's his feet he's trying to protect. So..I don't know what's going on with Matthews...but he didn't look good/healthy. I got so angry at his shoot down of "Move On" that I turned him off after that and Schuster not even identifying that Code Pink disrupted John McCain's "Kill Move On/ Fight Dems" speech.

I can only handle so much laughing at Dems like Tweety did in the first part of his show before I have to tune out.
