Tweety believes Petraus ad will back fire on Dems like Wellstone funeral! |
|
I just put on MSNBC to get ready for KO and there was Tweets and his panal (predictably) blasting the move-on ad and how it made it easy now for Republicans to rally to Bush and that it revived the Guiliani candidacy and then Tweety says, "It reminds me of the Wellstone funeral" and all the goodwill which evaporated out of the room when the eulogies got partisan. Then Craig Crawford piped in, "I had Dem leaders around the country the next day saying that their Senate candidate polls nose-dived" after that.
Isn't this Move-on thing a lot about nothing.

1. Tweety's all excited. Now, when Fred Thompson trashes the ad, |
|
you'll see him swoon.
BTW, what IS up with Thompson these days?

3. Tweety is having another one of his wild mood swings |
|
That woman from TownhHall seemed pretty cocky about the ad's results. A lot of false bravado if you ask me. I guess it's better than talking about the mess Bush has made of Iraq, of this country, of everything he's touched.

4. It's a load of b.s. ... It's OK for Rethugs to be partisan, but not Dems? |
|
Since when is there such an obvious double-standard? The Thugs had an opportunity after 9/11 to bring this country together, and instead KKKarl and company chose to tear it apart for PARTISAN POLITICAL GAIN. That is unforgiveable ... worse than any stupid ad or a funeral for a POLITICAN that highlighted his party and beliefs. The past few days have left me speechless at how much venom is being spewed hypocrically by the RW and their compliant MSM that ... well, I'm out of words.

It may have rallied a small number of knuckle daggering repugs around the president. But overall support for the Iraq is even lower.

6. It wasn't Wellstone's "funeral" |
|
The funeral was done in private for invited guests only.
The event of which he speaks was a memorial service. And it was a week before the election.

13. Tweeter is delusional. |
|
He still thinks John McCain will be the next President. His opinion is clouded by too many Republicans telling him this is bad news....he really ought to get out of the beltway more.

20. Why would it affect the Dems when Moveon.org is not a Dem organization |
|
They love to kitchen sink all progressive groups and pin their actions to the Dems. So why doesn't that ever seem to work with the Republicans and various Conservative groups or even when they diss a veteran like they did Kerry. I guess Dems aren't real veterans, so it's okay to disrespect them.

21. He can say whatever he wants |
|
but the facts are that moveon's fund raising has taken a dramatic upturn since the ad ran and since all the repubs and their pundit army started getting their panties in a bunch over it. I've heard a lot of crocodile tears from Dems over the ad but the fact remains it has brought attention to Moveon and increased their income. And if anybody still believes Betrayus is some kind of hero that cannot be criticized they need to learn a bit more about him. He seems like the military version of Eddie Haskell or the kid everybody wanted to pound the snot out of after he sucked up to the teacher all day. Far as I'm concerned the thing that's gonna backfire on Dems is the fact that 22 of their senators voted to condemn the Moveon ad and the spineless leadership could do nothing to stop them.
