Insightful author interviews
Saturday 9 PM, Sunday 6 PM and 9 PM, Monday 12 AM ET
Nassim Taleb argues that people are too focused on what they already understand and reluctant to engage in what they don't know. In his book, The Black Swan: The Impact of the Highly Improbable, Mr. Taleb explores improbable events that have had a great affect on the world. From 9/11 to the creation and success of Google, the author contends that these "black swans" challenge our concept of randomness and the unknown. Nassim Taleb is interviewed by David Brooks, columnist for The New York Times.

Weekend Highlights
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This weekend, in recognition of the 50th anniversary of the Little Rock Nine, Book TV will spotlight three books about the event.
(Saturday 7 PM, Sunday 12 AM, 9 AM and 11 PM ET)
Stuart Taylor, Until Proven Innocent: Political Correctness and the Shameful Injustices of the Duke Lacrosse Rape Case
National Journal columnist Stuart Taylor talks about the legal issues surrounding the Duke University lacrosse rape case, arguing that political correctness is responsible for the presumption of guilt in that case. Former Deputy Assistant Attorney General Victoria Toensing comments.
(Saturday 10 PM, Sunday 1:30 PM, Monday 2:30 AM ET)
Leslie Sanchez, Los Republicanos: Why Hispanics and Republicans Need Each Other
In her book, Leslie Sanchez instructs Republicans on how to win votes from Hispanics, who she says have a natural affinity with Republicans because they tend to be business minded, religious, and culturally conservative. 6. I'm looking forward to seeing Glenn Greenwald Sunday
I'm in the middle of reading "A Tragic Legacy: How a Good vs. Evil Mentality Destroyed the Bush Presidency", after just having finished "How Would a Patriot Act". Both of these books come highly recommended. Greenwald's blog ranks with Chris Floyd and Arthur Silber in my opinion.
