Well as more intelligent people than I have commented in the past. "It's sunday and it is still conservative" (badly paraphrased-but very true)

And my error - her progressive voting record is only 91.93%. Apparently she lost a few hundreths since the last time I checked.

10. Bah
If they were going to have a democrat I would rather it be a real democrat and another corporate friendly clone.

Still, despite the fact I despise the idea of Hillary being the candidate I will admit that at least she didn't vote for the stupid Non-binding resolution against Move-on.

12. Actually
This is merely a demonstration of power in an attempt to woo over some of the old-guard establishment folk Democrats. This will not be enough. Her polling is going to start bleeding soon as people grow more and more tired of her-after all she has proposed so very little.

15. Oh! The shock! The horror! A presidential candidate is going to be on the major Sunday
talking heads shows! Someone call the police!

What do you all expect? She's a presidential candidate, and if I'm not mistaking, this is her first appearance (as a candidate) on the Sunday talking heads shows.

So for people here on DU to act as though this is something unusual, or somehow the big, corporate media is giving a nod to her candidacy, is just baloney. It's disengenuous.

Sometimes I think people here on DU are more interested in group think. They need to be told how to think and how to feel. It's called intellectual laziness.

What is going on here - it's as predictable as my heart beat - incredibly disappointing :(

When Edwards was getting press like this it was a big booster post, now it's a big shock as if the others haven't seen any airtime.

Tell me this isn't really happening...

community...yet are so divorced from reality and the facts around them- especially when it doesn't square with their pre-conceived notions.

28. Oh look, there's Newt. Again.
Discraced nowhere hypocrite gets free airtime with disgusting regularity.

And I wonder what Greenspan is going to say. Let me guess: While pimping his book he will claim that others are to blame for everything he hosed up. And he will claim that he never said we invaded Iraq because of oil. You learned it here first, Greenspan will claim that it was actually Rich Little who said that while doing an impression of him.

should be bought the legal way like they are now. It creates a better country and world, look how things are now. Luckily Clinton has enough corporate supporters behind her or a republican may have bought it and things would be worse the people of the country. Wait until shes in office, you will see how much our lives will improve, I cant wait to see the difference.:sarcasm:

40. Another Media Cattle Call
Hillary's savvy in dealing with the corporate media. She doesn't go running for the microphones (like Biden) or need the exposure like others. She's also a "hard get"...a sure viewer draw, but she rarely agrees to go on most programs. When she does, she calculates it for impact...what a smart candidate does. This keeps her in control of the forum as the Russerts et al know she'll boost the ratings.

I'd rather see Hillary than the usual GOOPs and their stenographer friends.

amendment? read about it here

Rhetorical question, of course. NO ONE is going to bring that up, they'd really prefer you don't notice.

Anyway, it's been obvious for years now; Hillary Clinton is the mainstream media's choice. They've been hammering on it since she first got elected to the Senate. They want her -- and only her -- to be the Dem nominee for 2008. They won't settle for anything less. It's too good a story line, too good a hook. They'll sell their own mothers to make this happen.
