Sicko Businessman Rips Duck's Head Off at Hotel

A Denver businessman was charged with ripping the head off a duck in a St. Paul hotel where he was staying, police said this afternoon.

Scott D. Clark, 26, is in custody on suspicion of felony animal cruelty charges and is expected to stand before a judge Monday, St. Paul Police Sgt. John Wuorinen said.

The hotel has an ornamental pond with about 8 domesticated ducks in it. A hotel security guard saw Clark run across a public area of the hotel and corner one of the ducks. Then he grabbed the bird and "ripped its head from its body," according to the police report.

Clark turned to onlookers and stated: "I'm hungry. I'm gonna eat it," said Wuorinen, reading from the report.
