A couple of Iraq questions |
|
I know this is historical but...
Considering GHWB encouraged the Shia to rise up against Saddam then stood passively by as they were slaughtered by Saddam's helicopter gunships.
And also considering that the sanctions against Iraq during the Clinton era resulted in death of an estimated 500,000 to 1,000,000 children, at least.
How were we ever going to "win the hearts and minds" or be "greeted as liberators with flowers and chocolates" as the current Bush administration proclaimed?
And why did the majority of Americans not consider these 2 facts before supporting an invasion?

1. the sanctions in the clinton era were United Nation's,, saddam diverted that money building palaces |
|
and other bullshit.. he thumbed his nose at the west and killed those children to make the west look bad.. there was nothing else to do.. it was WW1 trench warfare.. a standoff. and i am not so sure of the statistics to begin with, any such claims of mass murder against clinton are suspect, way suspect.., clinton didn't kill the children, the blame goes primarily to saddam, then the security council of the UN.
the fact are tho that our wet brain alcoholic drug addict psychopath pResident has killed 1 million civilians and brought instability to the world and bankrupted our nation.
we need to build the solar system to provide power to our nation and drop the ties that bind us to forign oil and the arabs in particular.
we need to do everything to provide carbon loop fuels, hemp oil in particular and pass a law to prevent the use of FOOD crops for biofuel
