Bashing Democrats - It's what the PRIMARY is about
Well, not really. It's more about finding the best candidate to run in the general election, but bashing comes as a big part of it.

Dennis Kucinich is the only one who will move the country to the left where it desperately needs to go. And yes, he can win the general election if Democrats would just give him a chance and elect him in the primaries.

The above paragraph would be an example of a positive endorsement of one of the candidates. However, some people are so entrenched with the status quo, so easily manipulated by the media and the polls, that I would be all but forced to bash the others, if only to nudge even a few people into seeing the light.

For example, if you want more of the same (corporate fascism), vote for Clinton, Edwards, or Obama. There. That was bashing.

It's a part of it. Stop taking it so personally and just vote for Kucinich.

2. Heck, you know and I know it's gonna get hotter before the primaries...
Eventually, Skinner will, as usual, have to step in and remind everyone of DU's "Rules of Engagement." IMO, this wastes his time, which I'm sure he has other uses for.

So, if everyone will just kindly do what I'm going to do and vote for Kucinich, Skinner will get to spend more time with his family. Thank you.

3. I have been watching campaigns for 50 years and voting all that time
and I have never ever ever seen the democrats bashing their own candidates like the people here and all over are bashing Hillary Clinton. I really like John Edwards. But with all the Hillary bashing I am beginning to think she has more character than any of the other candidates to with stand this bashing. Wonder how they would take it, if their own party members, jealous of them would start the bashing of them.

4. There's a difference between "bashing" and posting valid criticisms...
Some people don't SEE the difference, but there you have it.

And I've seen nothing to indicate that DK is the leader we need. Nothing. Oh, I like his policy ideas, but any number of DUers are on target with the same or similar ideas and have about as much chance at gaining the Presidency.

5. You like his policies...
...but you see nothing to indicate he is the right leader.

Think about that for a second. Why don't you think he's the right leader? If you agree with his policies, what is the problem? Could it be that you feel the way you do because of what you've been told by the media and the polls and any other number of people?

And what if everyone who thought the way as you did simply said on primary day "the hell with it, I'm voting for Kucinich"? He would win, would he not?

7. No...I don't listen to the media...
But it IS an indication that, since he's not able to break through the media wall that separates him from the others, he doesn't have the ability to break through the other barriers that surround him. If he was the leader we needed, he would have come up with another way to get his message out there rather than trying to rely on a corporate media that will NOT give him the time of day.

We need bold and enterprising leadership right now more than ever. It doesn't look like we're going to get it.

10. Well I fall into that category. I support Kucinich but I'm afriad to vote for him.
The reason is I'm afraid we will get Hillary as the nominee. I have a feeling that if I vote for Dennis, it is like losing my vote, since I dont believe he will get the nomination. And I fear that that is one more vote in Hillary's column, that I can counter by voting for Edwards. I'm being honest here, not arguing that I'm right. I really would like to see Edwards and Kucinich get together, and move Edwards over to the left on health care, for example, or whichever issues Kucinich finds most important, and put the votes for the two together. (in my perfect world).

11. Lets face it people. Kucinich has the best platform but not necessarily the ability to enact it.
People vote for all kinds of crazy reasons that have nothing to do with issues.
He isn't the tallest candidate (they say the tallest one always wins, Kerry proved that
just ain't so), He doesn't have the best haircut, he isn't black, or a woman, doesn't
have the best smile, looks a little like a college professor. I get the feeling he's
more interested in the issues than the office. Thats all well & good but I really want
to WIN this time around, so I'm going with EDWARDS because he has the most positives &
the least negatives and I think he can win it.

8. I am afraid a vote for DK is a vote for HRC. I'd vote for DK in a heartbeat, but in order to
Edited on Sun Sep-23-07 12:46 PM by rhett o rick
stop the "machine" from installing HRC in the general, all Obama and Kucinich supporters need to switch to Edwards. He is the only one with a chance to defeat the DLC "machine".
