Which head of state would you like to meet/have a conversation with?

Why?

I don't mean the sociopaths that you would like to meet because they are a study in abnormal psychology or because you would like to tell them off. I mean the one(s) that interest you because of their politics.

I would most like to meet Evo Morales of Bolivia and Hugo Chavez. I like both men because of their work to stop the pillaging of their natural resources by multi-national corporations.

edited for claity. I was attempting to say that the muti-nationals pillage at the expense of the common person, but I don't think that my sentence structure reflected that. :dunce:

1. The man I want to meet isn't a head of state...
He's running for president, and I'd love to have some time to sit and talk to him about his views...

I did get to say hello very briefly at a recent garden party in his honor...

But that was nowhere near enough!

Dennis Kucinich!

I want to meet him...

:patriot:

9. Oh, same here
I'd want to know why, decades down the line after his power was solidified and his people had seen all the positive changes socialism had made in most of their lives, he didn't ease up on civil repression a bit.

While I don't believe half of what I read in the press about repression in Cuba, I do know that an old broad with a mouth like mine wouldn't do well there.

5. Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf of Liberia
Talk about a tough job and a true hero in my eyes.

Plus she speaks english which honestly would be a preferance since I hate translators.

I'd also like to talk to Ahmadinejad to see if he is really so awful for myself.

11. Dennis Kucinich was selected to meet the
Dali Lama as an American representative working for peace. I'd like to have a chance to hear the Dali Lama speak.

14. Interesting choices (especially combined)
The entire flap over Ahmadinejad's visit to the US is what made me think to ask this question. We watch the media go out of their way to tell us what a bad guy so-in-so is (depending upon the neo-con's agenda at that moment) while they ignore hideous behavior of other world leaders as long as * says that they are our ally.

12. Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II
She's a living legend; when she became Queen, Winston Churchill was Prime Minister of the UK and Eisenhower was President of the USA. She has presided over the dissolution of the British Empire with grace and charm, and remains chief of state of (I think) 16 nations, including Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
