What was so horrible about him to earn this kind of sick celebration of his death? Why the anti-Christian slurs?

I am nauseated and embarassed. We are better than this, people.

1. I don't remember Humbard being that political
not on the level of Robertson or Falwell. Hell I thought Oral Roberts was more entertaining, is he still around?

2. Why is it necessary to start a second thread to point this out?
If you're embarrassed, I would think bringing it to the attention of those who missed it would be counter productive. Just a thought.

3. Hmmm-- maybe folks realize that he was a huckster. Financial
shenanigans calling for reorganization....

"Missionary activity" and forcing one's views on others as a career choice does not tend to sit well with others.

BTW-- none of the above actions are truly Christian--so to have someone do them in the name of Christianity is all the more heinous.

Item: Grip
Suggested action: Acquire

8. well get used to it
i don`t care for the televangelists because they take money away from the local churches other than that, what ever floats one`s boat. there are people here that think that religion has no value and far worse ridicule people who do believe in it`s values. i tend to ignore people like who ridicule/make fun of those who believe in religions because they really have nothing to offer.

9. By all means, go ahead and celebrate the life a of con artist who bilked people out of their money
I can't think of anything more progressive than convincing old people on a fixed income to give their money to a rich guy.

10. Much ado about nothing
Isn't there something important you'd prefer to discuss?

There's no hatefest, and Humbard had nothing to do with religion. He was a religious huckster.
