Who is US Attorney Donald Washington?
There is a CNN special about Jena on now. One person interviewed was the US Attorney for that part of Louisiana, Donald Washington. He explained that he over ruled the FBI's judgment that the nooses on the trees was a hate crime. He also claimed that charging the six with attempted murder was within the local prosecutor's discretion, and not an over charge. Mr. Washington is African American, which makes his betrayal of justice all the worse. Naturally, he is a Bush appointee. But who is he?

1. An attorney who worked for an oil company
he must know a lot about these things. Looks like he spent most of his career defending Conoco against claims they dumped toxic chemicals...

3. Damn.
they like that oil, and the people who protect their right to exploit us with it.

He seemed intelligent in the interview, but very, very stupid.

I wonder why he left Conoco? A job like that should have set him for life. It would also be interesting to learn what he did between the time he left and decided to carry water for Bush.

What did Julian Bond say about Colin Powell?

5. Didn't he go
with the party line that the nooses weren't really a threat because the student who hung them didn't realize the implications? Bullshit, bullshit, bullshit.

Tuesday is the 50th anniversary of the forced integration of Central High School in Little Rock. Sickly ironic.

6. The donald
thinks it's been blown out of proportion.

Spewing falsehoods about Bell's record. Bell had one assault on his record and probation violations, not three aggravated assaults. What a tool.

7. He just pretended
to accept the legend about the attack. Justin Baker had "thousands of dollars" in medical bills. Hey moron, every person who visits the ER has spent "thousands of dollars."
