Why does the National Football League hate America?
They can't even pause the game like MLB does for a ridiculous, uh, I mean patriotic rendition of God Bless America -- (because the National Anthem just isn't enough).

What kind of message is this sending to the troops?

It's an outrage and I hope it's not emboldening the terrists or hurting the fantastic surge.

Shame on the NFL.

1. Yes, that socialistic un-American league
With all that revenue sharing and all between teams.

3. Yeah that Keith Olbermann is a moonbat. Just because he was an ESPN
reporter doesn't make him more qualified than say, Rush Limpballs.:sarcasm:

7. Ask a wingnut
They'll tell you to look in a mirror, or some such clever retort.

15. It's what they call liberals
It's the stupidest expression.

The "Moon" probably refers to "lunacy". But i have no idea what the "bat" is supposed to refer to.

14. Wait. I'm not the only one who sees the socialistic aspect of the NFL?
I thought I was alone.

16. Nope
I once got into a long protracted discussion at a hockey game with a reich winger who sits next to me about how the most successful and competetive sports business in capitalist America has a model founded on the tenants of socialism. Needless to say, he wasn't pleased.

17. Shows that it works, doesn't it?
The NFL is an incredibly successful organization - and its revenue sharing has been what has made it so successful. All teams making bundles of money, thanks to sharing television revenue, merchandising, etc. Maybe the rest of corporate America needs to take note.

Let's try and stop the NASCAR prayers they give before the race.

11. Gasp. I don't appreciate America haters like you posting such
trash in my thread.

We need more prayer in sports for a number of reasons.

First of all, uh, umm......

Oh whatever, I don't have to give you reasons.

I'd like to see golfers start praying before each putt.

9. LOL. Yes! And NFL could hire University of Florida cops to
walk the stadiums and taser bro's who aren't paying attention to the America loving.

12. The over-the-top "patriotism" was at our recent state fair rodeo --
national anthem, riders announced as they rode out at full speed with flags of each branch of the military, and a prayer to "The Champion of all Champions." And this, in a liberal blue state! :puke:

20. Well, it's not quite as thrilling as your hobbies of
Civil War Reenacting and target shooting, but I still think it's a pretty darn good sport!
