A recent trip to a website (one which we are usually at total odds with re politics) disclosed an incredible outpouring of love, prayers and good wishes for the recovery of our own OMC's wife.

Just as we DUers have put often put aside political differences in the face of someone's personal grief or loss, so have the posters on this website reacted in kind.

It is nice to know that while we argued yesterday, and will argue again tomorrow, about the state of the nation, the War in Iraq, the economy, etc., all debate can be suspended when a fellow human being, a fellow American, is facing a personal crisis.

I'm sure I speak for many of us here (if not all of us) in saying thanks to those on the 'other side of the aisle' who have been so generous with their kind thoughts and prayers for OMC and his family - which, BTW, along with our own good thoughts, have had an incredible impact: the most recent news about Mrs. OMC is GOOD NEWS!
