If XM can broacast the POTUS channel free and commercial free for 18 mos., why can't
we demand that Congress leglislate that all broadcasters be required to jointly contribute a small portion of their band with (now mind you I'm no expert on how bandwith works--I only know it exists) for the purpose of public discourse even in off POTUS election years? Require that the resulting station(s) be nonprofits and set up a governance board made up of representatives of parties? and of citizens. Now oversight I don't know. Require that the bandwith broacast in all media forms (radio, teevee, and internet). I understand that the POTUS channel can be received by a regular radio and does not require a satellite radio reception device.

Any thoughts? Can this idea be parlayed into a reform campaign?

2. We can if we can rid ourselves of the DLC and the free traders on the
other side. The ones who protect corporations while selling out the individual.

3. We don't really want campaign and election reform, do we?
Not really, or we'd get behind something concrete. Message received, not understood, but received.
