Oh Boy — The White House Calls Obama Intellectually Lazy
By Eric Kleefeld - September 24, 2007, 11:08AM

People who live in glass houses...

A senior White House official has offered this critique of Barack Obama:

As for Obama, a senior White House official said the freshman senator from Illinois was "capable" of the intellectual rigor needed to win the presidency but instead relies too heavily on his easy charm.

"It's sort of like, 'that's all I need to get by,' which bespeaks sort of a condescending attitude towards the voters," said the official, speaking on condition of anonymity. "And a laziness, an intellectual laziness."

11. Amazing what they're doing to the male candidates
They're either trying to plant the idea that they're all empty-headed pretty boys or ignoring them as totally irrelevant.

They're probably doing it because, with the exception of Romney, their candidates are a homely bunch.

16. My opinion...
...of Obama's intellect is exactly opposite that of the WH. It's his rationality even more than his positivity that appeals to me, and both are in stark contrast to the Cheney Administration.

19. Well, if anyone would be able to identify an intellectually lazy individual,
I would expect the White House to be able to do it.

They have one in the Oval Office right now.

And if they want to identify an intellectually lazy, moronic, arrogant, self centered, drug addicted, corrupt, hypocritical, bigoted, lying, egotistical, insane person, that same guy in the Oval Office will do just fine.

That thinks picture books about goats are challenging reading?

You know all those Pollack jokes? They are really about George Bush. Only his brain could think of gynecologists practicing their love on women, or man and fish coexisting peacefully. George Bush is the best anti-drug commercial ever envisioned. "Son, don't do drugs... or you'll end up like me. Tee-heeh heh".
