The "Experiment" is dying
100 years from now, the great idea of the United States of America will be dead...................!

I would have never thought, that ONE administration is capable of destroying this idea in 6 years. Wait and see, the signs are all over the world.

It will take very, very strong voters and a very smart "world-open" government to change the course.

I love this country and it's people very much and I am highly concerned about the plan to go to war with Iran!!!!

That will be the end of a lot........................

:nuke:

3. Nah, too many people want it to work in some fashion.
A lot of people still don't realize they have to do something more to make it happen, though.

4. Well, it is a historical fact that civilizations die from within, if the US is near dead after
...just six years, then it has been dying for already for decades. In fact the dying process for this country began with the murder of JFK and all of the events which have followed have been a form of euthanasia of the ideas and principles which made this country unique

9. How the GOP Became God’s Own Party
Here's the thing, this administration has only done what four decades of political movement has given rise for it to do. This country over the past four decades has seen a small town political takeover by republican fun-dies. This takeover controls legislation and the courts from local governments on up through higher and more powerful offices and posts. This lash-back due to religious sidelining has moved our country to the brink of failure and toward a possible military theocracy. Here is just one article, you can find many more on the rise of the repubs and their fun-die contributions...

"Four decades ago, the new GOP coalition seemed certain to enjoy a major infusion of conservative northern Catholics and southern Protestants. This troubled me not at all. I agreed with the predominating Republican argument at the time that "secular" liberals, by badly misjudging the depth and importance of religion in the United States, had given conservatives a powerful and legitimate electoral opportunity.

Since then, my appreciation of the intensity of religion in the United States has deepened. When religion was trod upon in the 1960s and thereafter by secular advocates determined to push Christianity out of the public square, the move unleashed an evangelical, fundamentalist and Pentecostal counter reformation, with strong theocratic pressures becoming visible in the Republican national coalition and its leadership. There are many ways to retrieve this country from the throws of death. Take back local government, if that is not your situation... Take back higher offices (run yourself) ... In the case of "green card situations" make a public ruckus ie. make phone calls, create petitions, start protests, get on the news (even if it is way not mainstream)... Get your motor running, it is not grass roots, it is the soil the grass roots take hold in... if the soil is not fertile there will be no grass ergo no grass roots.
