"Iran a state sponsor of terrorism" meme. What has Iran done
I keep hearing that line all over and I am just not aware of all the terrorism Iran has sponsored. I'lk readily admit I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer.
They are certainly not the home of Al Quieda. I know they have had words with Israel, but didn't Israel attack them a decade or so back? I am just not up on their transgressions.

2. They openly sponsor Hamas.
Then again, America is the country that saw to it that Hamas became the elected government of Palestine.

4. Exactly. And the more we decry Ahmendinijad the more popular
he becomes. IIRC he was elected mostly because Bush tried to intervene his views on the Iranian election.
Is supporting Hamas their only sin? Does Saudi Arabia or Egypt support Hamas? These guys are supposed to be our allies.

6. I think Hezbollah is the main org that they sponsor.
They are the ones that are so powerful in Lebanon. That is what I've always heard anyway.

7. Why don't you research it?
It's easy, it's relatively fast. You're on the internet, remember?

There's tons of info out there, but you certainly need to seperate the frothing rw sources from more dispassionate ones. Iran is deeply entwined with H'zbollah. Of that, there's little dispute. The larger question, is does Iran pose any danger to the US? And the answer to that is no.

To my knowledge, Israel has never attacked Iran. You may be thinking Israel's attack on Iraq's Osirak Nuclear facility in 1981.

9. Hezbollah is about all I can find
With all the hoohah that the DC types are throwing up I thought maybe I had missed something someplace. We seem to be suddenly making a mountain out of what was once a molehill.
As for the nuclear facility attack, You're right, I am wrong. Much like Bush I sometimes mix up the Q and the N at the end.

8. My guess it goes back to getting rid of the guy we put in as King.
We do not like any one that does a thing like that. As for guns to terrorist I think any one who trades in guns is doing that. People who trade arms are usually not what one would call people with so called good values. They will sell to any one. I believe on 911 it was a country that felt our pain. I also think they helped us when we went after ben Larden. So far they have not dropped the bomb on any one, cut off another Middle East country or put their army into another Middle East country. I think they may have a little higher standard in the Middle East than good old Am. has with most of the people who live in the Middle East. But we do need a new evil country to go after. After all we live in a Military backed eco. We need all those jobs and need the oil from that part of the world under our control and the dollar. Wall Street, Congress and the WH know that and I sure do and I am not the worlds smart one. My bet is the religious groups that run that country will slowly stop and the people will take over their govt. if we do not go to war with them. It is their country and they have to do it in their way and time. Oh well I am very open in how I think. I do not want Iran trying to tell us what to do or us telling them what to do.
