I just changed my avatar to Dennis Kucinich!
I've been chillen with a Yoda avatar since I joined DU in June of last year; though after much consideration; Dennis Kucinich best articulates my hopes for a peaceful society and my rage against the BushCo regime. In my view, more than any other candidate in the field - he has represented the voice of We The People to end the immoral and reckless war in Iraq. He has fought to end this war while other Democrats equivocated or blurred the lines.

It matters not what the MSM says about how electable he is - I don't buy it anyway. The corporate tail of the mass media loves to wag the dog. Dennis has consistently walked his talk and on a personal level, he seems the least motivated by the seduction power or the influence of the party elite. I just think his heart is dialed in the right place - and it shows. In deciding to support him, I'm confident in the fact he best represents what the Democratic Party stands for!

I will advocate on his behalf through the primaries!

Kucinich says he's seeking strength through peace
Ventura County Star
9/24/07

An overflow crowd packed a small Ojai retreat center Sunday afternoon to hear presidential hopeful Dennis Kucinich talk about peace, policy and the future of the United States.

"What we're offering is a whole new vision for America," said Kucinich, who was accompanied to the event by his wife, Elizabeth. "Not peace through strength, but strength through peace."

Kucinich, a Democratic congressman from Ohio, said he wants the country to move away from unilateralism and the use of force to achieve peace, and rather to focus on international cooperation and open dialogue to establish peace in the world.

"If we believe war is inevitable, then war is a self-fulfilling prophecy," he said. "If we believe in peace, it can happen."

And as an aside, I'll bid farewell to my prior avatar - Yoda. Yoda like Dennis may be small in stature; but really knows how to kick ass, tends to surprise people in a good way, and has wisdom to reflect a path with heart and strength. I admire them both, but it's time get real! 2008 is not that far away...

Everyone here who knows about Dennis and the Corporate media needs to do everything to fight to get the word out!

Someone put this up earlier- where do you stop in your support?

2. Work for a campaign

4. Vote

We need to Fight!! by doing everything we can do become his campaign, here at DU, at the grocery store, the PTA.etc.

Dennis also needs A NEW CONGRESS! We need everyday Americans to RUN FOR OFFICE! Anyone but the current crop of incumbents!

Requirements- Read the Constitution and take an oath to uphold and defend it.

Work less than 100 days per year!
