Bush's post-presidency speaking career
Remember this quote from the new book about him?

"I'll give some speeches, to replenish the ol' coffers," says Mr Bush, who is already estimated to be worth $20m. "I don't know what my dad gets - it's more than 50-75 , and "Clinton's making a lot of money".

I wonder, is he overestimating the demand to hear him speak?

How much money will a person spend to hear a guy read phonetically-spelled words that he didn't write and doesn't understand?

What can he possibly have to say that would interest anyone?

1. There won't be any free speech cages
once he's on his own. His secret service detail is in for a workout.

6. Sorry, too late. I already called for the rotten tomato concession.
But, in the spirit of free enterprise, I wish you well with the rotten eggs. I suggest we maintain adjacent booths, with a joint basket-sales counter in between.

(I foresee this as being even bigger than Professional Wrestler Racing or Full-Contact Baseball! Salud! :toast: )

3. A future Bush speech: "Welcome to Wal-Mart" or
"Do you want fries with that?"

I wonder if the Carlyle Group bought Dunkin Donuts just so W will have a job when he's done?

4. Do you really believe the jug-eared little prick has the balls to speak to ANY unscreened audience?
The slimy bastard will be speaking only at American Legion crab feasts, and college Republican beer blasts.

7. I hope not
I hope nobody pays to listen to this little turd speak. I hope he's cursed to a life of sitting on his goddamn ranch with Barney and Laura and watching the world pass him by, utterly irrelevent and useless. That will be justice.

12. Of course, nobody's paying for the speech. They're paying for the influence.
Or paying after the fact for services rendered during his term.

14.  Why does Bush even need to replenish the "ol' coffers?"
He already comes from obscene wealth and luxury that the average American will never get to experience in his / her lifetime. Fuck him.

15. $20 Million isn't enough for this greedy Silver Spoon Sociopath?
I hope his brain disease progresses to a point where he cannot speak at all.
