Face it, you don't have to be black to enjoy seeing that little turd's racism biting him in his self righteous ass.

Sexual abuse of women didn't seem to persuade broadcasters what a liability he is. Maybe this will.

47. Sylvia's IS a soul food restaurant
Nothing goes better with a plate of ribs and collards, or any of the other foods preferred in the South, than a big glass of iced tea.

However, very few people ask for a refill by screaming out, "mother fucker, I want more iced tea!" That generally doesn't work.

55. I couldn't figure out what he was suggesting. That they scream out MF give me more tea
or that they actually drink tea. I mean, I live in the South, and iced tea is sacred here - it goes with everything. However, my family is from the midwest and we've always been tea-drinkers.

Southerners were dumping ice and way too much sugar (and now corn syrup) into their tea.

I don't really care for sweet tea...or bottled. I like my tea served unsweetened with sugar on the side and a long spoon.

74. He's saying he was shocked not everyone there was a gangbanger
Because it's very obvious, in Bill O'Reilly's worldview, that every black person is some sort of thug. They drive customized ex-police cars, they wear their underwear around their knees, they listen to rap at glass-shattering volumes, they walk their twelve pit bulls on logging-chain leashes, and of course they ask for refills by screaming "mother fucker."

There ARE people like that, and they make a hell of a lot of money doing it. Very few black people take that act to the hilt...certainly a lot of young black men co-opt a little of that lifestyle. But come on, no one can AFFORD to be a professional gangsta unless he either (1) has a record deal or (2) owns the Budweiser distributorship for the greater New York metropolitan area.

46. The WHAT he said was pretty wild
Bill O'Reilly was in NYC one fine day looking for a bite to eat. Unfortunately, he couldn't get a table at Rao's, so he chose Sylvia's.

Sylvia's is a world-famous soul food restaurant. According to http://www.sylviassoulfood.com, this restaurant started out in 1962 with 35 seats and now covers a city block and seats 450. Anyway, people of every nationality eat there.

Anyway, Falafelman was shocked--shocked, I tell ya!--that the people dining at Sylvia's were well-behaved, and that no one was screaming "mother fucker, I want more iced tea!"

as long as someone else fries the chicken and cleans up afterwards! But they're more picnic foods than what I'd expect in a better restaurant.

BTW, there's a Mexican place near me that sometimes has watermelon agua fresca*, which IMHO is one of the best things to do with watermelon.

45. The Hidden Black Media Strikes Again
While many of us convulse over the crap that flows on right wing hate radio...and rightly so...black radio has also matured and energized into force for action and change. It was the outrage on black radio morning shows like Tom Joyner, Joe Madison, Roland Martin and others that started the ball rolling over Imus, made the Jena 6 case a national story and now are going after BillO.

Being Jewish, I call the O'Reilly remarks a "some of my best friends" line...one I would get from my "gentile" friends who'd say things like "I didn't know Jews could work on Saturdays" or "You sure don't have horns"...comments they don't think offend or are intended to show they're not biased, but they show their true colors in the way they say it. Yep, BillO can't understand what's the big fuss cause he's to stuck in his preconcieved stereotypes to see the irony and insult. We all have this fault...the difference is recognizing them when you encounter them. BillO hasn't, black radio and the rest of the country has.

BillO may lose his radio gig on this one...it's been a ratings and revenue doggie for a while, but Murdoch is not MSNBC/GE...BillO's still his "meal ticket" and I doubt this will have much affect on BillO's ratings.

62. the difference between Imus and Billo Really:
Imus worked for MSNBC, which cares about insulting minorities.
Faux thrives on making its pointy headed, ultraconservative, anti-minority base happy and entertained.

Therefore, Imus loses his job; billo gets a raise.
