Do Freepers Or Other America-Haters Talk About You?
I was bored and just googled my DUname, finding:

http://igst.blogspot.com/2006_06_01_archive.html

The Rubes and the Righteous.
We discussed (in Liberal moral superiority) the ideas of Ace of Spades and Dr. Sanity about liberals' belief in their intellectual and moral superiority.

BlooInBloo, on DemocraticUnderground.com, pretty much drives the point home about those superior libs:

"Human history becomes more and more a race between education and catastrophe." (H.G. Wells)

That is to say:

Stupid citizens -> catastrophic governance -> stupid citizens -> ....

The GOP has a vested interest in minimizing the quality of US education, and generally making people as stupid as possible. They know perfectly well that republicans won't be elected by an intelligent electorate .

It's now gotten so far, the people are so dumb , that they willingly participate in the election of more "catastrophic governance" people , and willingly participate in their own stupidity.

Breaking this chicken-egg cycle is the REAL challenge , I think.

There was one other non-DU mention of me, but it wasn't very interesting. Poo - I'd hoped for more. Oh well.

3. I understand that I get hammered at the "Site that must not be named" fairly regularly.
I've never visited the site, but I get PMs from DUers who keep me abreast of events. Apparently, according to the keyboard commandos over there, I couldn't find the A Shau on a map. (I would love to bump DD-214s with some of those assholes one day.)

Unpossibles then repeated the question:
"wonder if it was voluntary suicide or not...."

Because we scare the living SHIT out of them the conservatives know on some deep level their kind is dying away, their rigid authoritarian and uptight beliefs are being seen as the bullshit it is and humanity hopefully is growing out of the conservative nightmare and the conservative will become extinct as soon as the old fart hero's they worship(like ronnie raygun) finally die off,and a new generation that sees through the lies of the fathers and the bullshit of the bully takes control of politics..

11. Yes, I've been "analyzed" by their tiny little minds over there at one of those sites.

They wouldn't know the truth if it hit them between the eyes with a poleaxe.

I've been accused of all sorts of stuff and characterized as many things, such as a person who should apply for a job at a brothel, if I'm so worried about getting a job. I have higher standards than that. I've been accused of wanting a job and expecting a high paying executive position where I don't have to work. I never said any such thing. As I said, truth doesn't stop them.

They critique my sentence structure and say it's below that of a high school dropout. They, of course, can't spell big words like "hypocrisy", and have a long way to go to be literate.

I really don't worry about their small minds. The thread I started about them was locked because the site was not one that could be mentioned. It wasn't the one in that sandy little shithole of FResno.

Their opinion of me doesn't matter. I have better things to do with my time than to tear other people down, on the basis of words on a page, and not by meeting them in person and spending time with them.

If they have so much time on their hands, why aren't they building houses to shelter homeless people, for Habitat for Humanity? Why aren't they at their local soup kitchen feeding the hungry, as Jesus taught? Why aren't they helping the less fortunate? I guess they'd rather lap up the hate that Rush Oxycontin feeds them and attack people from the safety of their keyboards. They'd rather criticize people who are against the illegal Iraq invasion than go enlist themselves and show us how brave they are, and how much they believe in that invasion. The civilization in Iraq is far older than ours, but they are so self-centered it would not occur to them to investigate other cultures and languages. They are threatened by anyone who is different from them.

Tearing people down on the Internet is more important to them, from what I can tell. They are to be pitied. They are always negative, never positive.

They and their Christian compassion seem to have missed these lines in their book they claim to follow, spoken by the Jesus they claim to use as a role model:

"Judge not lest ye be judged."
"As you did it to the least of them, so also you did it unto Me (Jesus)."

I've done positive things, and will continue to do positive things, to make people feel happy, that they will never know about. And I'm not talking about sex. I'm sure they think all women who disagree with them are whores. So what? They don't matter. They can't imagine women as intellectual equals. They despise smart people. Smart people make them look bad.

Dale Carnegie once said "Nobody kicks a dead dog." He wrote the first self-help book on the 1940s.

"No one can make you feel inferior without your consent." -- Eleanor Roosevelt
They don't have my consent.

edited to remove the link... but yeah, I found a couple of my posts.

One of them was someone making fun of when I posted: "Second, 45% of studies just make shit up out of whole cloth and many of the rest of them are reporting facts in such a way that it supports their view."

They missed the intent and sarcasm in that line, but hey, they got a good laugh out of it.

"Sure, there are a bunch of NYCers who supposedly saw the towers fall. But the Government spends a lot of money. You think they couldn't just project a VIDEO of the towers falling onto the towers themselves?. Besides, they made some MAJOR errors. When the building falls, it billows out dust. BUILDINGS AREN'T MADE OF DUST!

And I'm only halfway sure that 9/11 the day happened. After all, the government has shown that it can skip dates at will. There was a "leap year" every four years for millenia...but NOT IN 2000! Why would that be? Maybe because the government was just CHARGING UP its DAY-SKIPPER?"

...seriously, that's what fooled them.

21. Heh, I once wrote a parody thread in the dungeon saying "9/11 never even happened!"
I claimed that it was a conspiracy involving noted magician David Copperfield, and that "they" were simply hiding the buildings. It got locked as flamebait after two replies, which it probably should have.

I liked the knuckledragger reaction, though: they filled four pages with spittle-sprayed rants about how flawed my logic was, some of them writing multi-paragraph point-by-point rebuttals, before they finally caught on.

You would think, somewhere along the way, the "hid the buildings" would have been a giveaway. I thought it was pretty witty to make up a percent of statistics while saying that 45% of them are made up.

Oh, well.

17. Lol, I found one!
There are some other DUers mentioned there as well.
http://stix1972.blogspot.com/2004/09/some-love-from-du.html I stand by what I said, so I don't give a rat's patootie if they post it. The point I was trying to make was that 9-11 hurt their egos (that the "US was attacked") more than it caused them grief for their fellow citizens. And if they want to believe the whole world is out to get us, let them. What a sad way to live. Funny how they said they bet none of us has ever been out of the country. I happened to have lived in the Middle East for a year. I knew lots of people there, I saw the poverty and oppression and the "real world" he's talking about. And I also learned that people are the same the world over.....The vast majority of them are everyday good people who want to live in peace with each other.

they didn't create this anymore than we did. anyway the whole thing is sad. this isn't how people should live and to think it never occurs to the chimpster -- something is wrong with this picture.

Boy, some deep thought there. The killers in Falluja have merely been forced to slow down their reign of murder. They’ve been killing innocent people like this for decades, only now it’s on camera.
