"Six families control this country" |
|
I don't know how many DUers watch CBS' "The Unit." No doubt, this program, based on a book about Delta Force, detailing stories of special military people in clandestine operations in other countries would be considered as fascist propaganda. (We watch it; it is well written - some by David Mamet - and has fast pace and the characters, often choose the high road).
But the unit is in trouble. In last season's cliff hanger which has yet to be resolved this week, the members of the unit are suspected of treason and other activities, yet they do not know what is the nature of the charges (classified).
The wife of the leader is a Washington insider who wants him to save his career and to "give them what they want." And in this evening episode, she said that there are six families that control this country and on occasions they let outsiders to join them.
(The CIA are the bad guys in both NCIS and the Unit).

4. Eric Haney author of book "Delta Force" |
|
was a crackerjack hired hitman for everyone from US presidents to bodyguard for Saudi Princes.
He is the character Jonas in the story and he is actively writing the show.
He does not filter much the TV show from his real life experiences.
I think when he says "there are 6 families that run the US" he means it.
that line really shocked me tonite.
I'm even more on the hook to see next week's show.
if you have anything you want to tell eric, tell me and I"ll relay the message thru a friend.
THE ONLY FLAW in the most perfect show on TV (Because at it's root, it teaches respect, loyalty and dignity), is that the show music sux.
bob's wife is also a very big hottie!

5. Thank you for your comments |

It is nice to know that we are not the only ones hooked on the show. Of course, we liked Dennis Haysbert from "Now and Again" and "24," the latter role, no doubt, paved the way to accept an African American as the President of the US.
And after watching "The War," and realizing how ill fitted our troops were then, it is nice to see a unit that operates so perfectly and so well coordinated.

9. I suspect if you look at the families who own the banks that are the Fed. |
|
Then you have a pretty accurate list of who controls this country. I say the people who own and control this country should fight and die for it.
