It's the nation that has caught Little Boots' attention for the moment. It is certainly one he could stomp on and look like he's the man for long enought to salve his wounded ego. What was the point of that speech yesterday? The focus was so jarring given all of his saber-rattling in the ME for the past 7 years.

1. He's just looking for a distraction.
(It looks like the military has begun it's crackdown on the monks, btw)

Several thousand Burmese monks and other protesters have held new marches in Rangoon despite a bloody crackdown by police at the city's holiest shrine.
Police beat and arrested demonstrators at Shwedagon Pagoda, including up to 100 monks, on the ninth day of unrest against the military government.

One march started for the city centre while another headed for the home of opposition head Aung San Suu Kyi.

Security forces have reportedly ringed six key monasteries in the city.

3. * might think he needs to invade someplace where he can get a quick win
Might be a good alternative. Unfortunately, not sarcasm.

5. We'll have to wait until they change their name back to "Burma."
We only invade countries that Shrub can pronounce.

Should take a couple of years, at least.
