MySpace Censors Anti-War Websites
Take a look at the following story. MySpace redirects outgoing traffic to anti-war sites right back to MySpace. I haven't tried it yet since i don't have a MySpace account but it appears to be real.

2. Links to pp are generally not allowed...

see if you can find another source and edit your post, or I suspect it may go the way of the dodo.

Thanks for the post.

Sid

Edit: reading the article shows that Myspace is not allowing links to pp, so there probably isn't another source.

3. Facist Government is in your extended network!

Keep the ideas and truth out of the mainstream, we can't have the kids actually finding out the truth of our very own extremist government.

5. MySpace has that problem with a lot of sites, since
they convert everything into their awful "msplinks" which sometimes break the urls. I always just send a note to the admins there, tell them which urls msplinks are fucking up, and they've always gotten them fixed.

Here's my cheesy MySpace blogroll:

firedoglake
Talking Points Memo
Jesus' General
Eschaton
War and Piece
Economist's View
Digby
The Onion
Metafilter
Democratic Underground
Media Matters

There are some very definitely anti-war sites therein.

No doubt MySpace sucks, but it's more likely ineptitude, not censorship, that's wrongly redirecting those links.

6. Thanks for the clarification
I must admit I've never been to Prison Planet's website until today so thanks for the info. I received an email with the link. I've seen this practice being done on the corporate level where 2 rival companies cannot go to the other's website, while on their respected networks, without being re-directed back to the originating site. Example : Company A tries to go to Company B's website but is redirected back to Company A. But if a user from home tries it, the web page would work. It has something to do with the incoming IP address from the rival company which is re-directed.

7. MySpace deleted my Dennis Kucinich page.
My Dennis Kucinich meetup group had a MySpace page and after friending nearly 500 people it mysteriously disappeared. It was the strangest thing I had ever encountered on MySpace and since that happening I have decided MySpace will not be on my list of sites I use.
