So fiscal responsibility lasted 2 days |
|
That was then (9-24-07): Bush criticized plans now in Congress to add 22 bln to spending on child health care and pay for it with higher taxes, principally on tobacco.
And today Defense Secretary Robert Gates will ask Congress Wednesday to approve nearly $190 billion for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan in 2008, increasing initial projections by more than a third.
In all fairness the 1/3 increase in Iraq spending over projection isn't that bad when you consider they have no plan on how to pay for the initial 2/3 of the projection either.

1. It all depends on who is spending the money and what they are spending it on. |

The $22 Billion was for a government run program to help children. Bu$h and his band of republican thugs only care about children twice in their life, before they are born and when they are eligible to join the military. That brings us to the $50 billion which is for bu$h's war, killing children and their parents and destroying the economy in the process.
