And I hope I am wrong.
Polls will indicate that the majority of Americans will support aggression toward Iran, however it is served up.
Bush & Co. prey upon our fears and prejudices; they obfuscate, exaggerate, inflate and denigrate.
People fall for it every time. The masses will fall for it, again.
I hope I am wrong.

I couldn't believe it when I saw people buying the same lies Bush used before, but it's happening all the same.
The mess at Columbia U. was a clear sign who runs the country- and it ain't us.

6. What's equally appalling is that they are using EXACTLY the same |
|
tactics, lies, fear-mongering as was done in the run-up to the illegal invasion and occupation of Iraq and, still, people are falling for it in increasing numbers.
Goebbels' strategy still works as well as it did when he used it in the 30's/40's.

9. Democrat aren't helping |
|
If the Democrats in Congress could finally agree to take a stand on the war and not authorize another dime, America's mindset might change.
Illegal wire-tapping program? "Ahh, well we're against that, but since you ask,,, I guess,,, we say YES."
US troops in Iraq. "Well of course we're against the war,, you know,,, but we have to keep the funding coming"
The Democrats should be sending a strong message that everything Bush is doing that makes you feel safer is actually making you way more unsafe. And that they are fully ready to put not only their reputations, but careers on the line to promote a completely new course.
I think America is fully ready to turn away from the lies and the hypocrisy of this administration.

the candidates about this!!! One of the debates, no, I don't remember which one, all the candidates seemed like they could, if the circumstances were right for them individually, go into Iran...maybe, not Kucinich though. There's so much going on I'm sorry I can't keep my mind in any type of order!

13. The real capper happens when they get a trigger aka false flag incident. |
|
wait for it. It will come in the form of something major at one of the bases in Iraq.
Perhaps like a 1 kiloton bomb. It's small enough to cause a mess, but not large enough to cause major damage.
And this will give moron* several things the first one being, the great, "I told you so", moment and the other the excuse he needs to use nukes, "they used them on us, I will use nukes on them!", then get all eye for an eye biblical on us.
before you can say, "oh my god" or "holy shit" or "we're fucked", Iran will be glowing.
all this could be solved by reasonable people, but we seem to be in short supply of those these days, let alone it would be nice to have a strong congress. You know like the ones who claimed to "drain the cesspool". sigh.
we don't live in a normal world anymore. damn straight things changed after 9/11, before that day, we had reasonable people willing see the big picture and understand the larger gray areas of the world, now we are run by a bunch of 3rd rate hack actors whose only virtue is their ability to convince the mouth breathers of this country that under every bed is a terrorist waiting for his chance to strike and take away our "freedoms". Yet, without another "terrorist" strike our freedoms have been taken away by the very people who pleaded to protect us.
Through the looking glass.

As of 9/7, support for war in Iran had steadily gone down. http://www.pollingreport.com/iran.htmI will be interested to see what polls say next week.

25. With a major 'terrorist' incident in the US |
|
Edited on Thu Sep-27-07 12:12 AM by ronnie624
or against US soldiers in Iraq, a furious barrage of propaganda could turn those numbers around with ease.
The percentages of 'should' answers are rather high (NBC News/Wall Street Journal Poll) to the questions about whether the US should initiate military action against Iran, if they are "close to developing a nuclear weapon" or "if Iran is responsible for providing insurgents with technology being used in roadside bombs", 47% and 55%, respectively.
With the most powerful corporate entities in the US guaranteed to make huge profits off of war, and propaganda outlets owned by military contractors, my confidence in avoiding an attack is quite low. Add to that mix a populace that is easily manipulated by propaganda, and a congress that has already virtually granted permission to launch attacks against Iran, I think my pessimism is on firm footing.

If the point eludes you, maybe you should study up...or drink more. Or something.
Posse Comitatus suspended.
Habeas Corpus suspended.
Red Alert...also called martial law.
Not much room for elections with all that.
Ergo, not much need for polls. Or politics.
'K?

I've got 3 kids -- one coming up on draft age and the others a bit further behind. I think one of the reasons I started seeking out more info on Bush & Co. and what they might have in store for us stems from a horrible premonition that my kids will be sent off to war in their future.
