Fast forward 3 years. Who will the Iran War apologists be?
What will they say lead them in such a misguided direction to vote YEA on the Kyle-Lieberman Amendment back on September 26, 2007?

To the 76 Senators that voted YEA today I say:

What are you going to say to the parents of the children being led off to the Iran war? Who will you blame?

DAMN your arrogance, stupidity, self righteous war mongering bullshit!

No apology will ever suffice! If you did not learn from the lies that led us to war with Iraq, then you will never learn.

I'm absolutely disgusted with each and every one of you!

1. Nobody.
Iran won't be anything comparable to Iraq.

Not even close.

4. May I take that as meaning
that the whereas the war in Iraq only helped push the pricer of oil up from $20 to $80 a gallon that given that Iran is in a position to completely disrupt all oil coming out of the Middle East that might help push it up at least another four fold to over $300 a gallon.

2. Throw in a lot of people here on DU who think this is "no big deal"
Obviously, history means very little to some.

3. Here's a list of many that will be saying "We didn't know..."
And, I will feel the same sympathy and understanding that I felt for the ones who voted to authorize war with Iraq and deny "knowing" that it would lead to war.

8. Expect any and all of those excuses
and probably a bunch more...assuming we're a republic anymore. Otherwise expect a bullet in response to such a question.

10. what blows me away at the moment
Is BushCo seems to be laying the groundwork for a US/IRAN conflict in plain site --- and hardly anyone seems to be paying attention (except on DU and other choice spots). Even worse, many in our party on The Hill are complicit to the whole damn thing???

14. You got it
I saw the whole thing at Columbia U, and I knew in that moment that nothing would stop this insanity. As you say, it is even more horrifying knowing that our reps are HELPING THE BASTARD.

Apparently we aren't as smart and just nation as we would like ot believe.

9. Obama: "I was always against this war, I never voted for it.
I was coincidentally campaigning."

12. Not voting against it is equally bad in my book.
You don't get a pass unless you take a stand.

11. There may not be any.
If this thing really escalates as it could, they'll be as dead as the rest of us.
