There's something wrong with Pelosi...

I may be a day late and dollar short on this one but I was just watching Wolfie interview Nancy Pelosi (from yesterday? I didn't hear or see if it was live) and there seems to be something wrong with her.

She looks exhausted and nervous. Her voice and demeanour is subdued. She is very animated, with her face and hands all over the place. She wasn't blinking her eyes.

And she had nothing but excuses and spin.

Is it just me or is Nancy off her Xanex or something?

3. Sounds Like a Panic Attack to Me
She is feeling threatened--but is it BushCo, Cheney, or the grassroots?

Time to be a man about it, Nancy, not a GOP.

4. It was truly creepy. I can't help but think that our leaders on both sides are insane
She started the interview chewing the inside of her mouth and it went downhill from there. Something was/is very wrong with her.

17. They have her sitting in a light that's too cold and that idiot
keeps asking her what's wrong. No wonder you're concerned. Imho, it's the context, not Nancy.

21. I listened to the speech...
...and I imagine that she's wilting under all of the pressure around her.

The Democrats are so angry at her and I am too after listening to her. I want
to give her a break though, and say---I believe Bush is probably threatening her
or any other Democrat who does too much to make him look like a fool. It's as if
they're all afraid of him.

Pelosi pretty much said that legislation will not pass--so no hope there. However,
she said, "We're going to hold George Bush accountable". That is so frickin sad.
What does that mean? Are we going to tell him that he is a bad man, and hope
that he feels bad about the damage he has caused? He doesn't care. He just cares
that he can plow through legislation that furthers the Fascist, neocon agenda.

Pelosi and the rest of them----all they have to do is say, "NOT ONE MORE DAMN DIME
FOR THIS WAR!!!" and just stop the flow of money. That's all they have to do. Veto
any bill that funnels any money to the war effort. It's just so simple, if they
were willing to make the case and stand their ground--and answer back when the Republicans
accuse them of hating the troops.

The Dems, including Pelosi, could do this. They actively and willingly choose to not do so.

Again, in all fairness, they're probably not doing so, to keep themselves and their families alive.

However, the result is the same for America, so someone needs to courageously speak out
and let us know what is going on. You can't be blackmailed and threatened by someone
who is exposed.

11. Xanex would cure those symptoms...
It's obvious that Nancy has a raging crack habit.

Seriously, she's under a great deal of pressure. The Republicans, obviously, do not
like her and most Dems aren't happy with her either. The Democrats have failed to
do anything that they were elected to do. She's got pressure from both sides.

With that said, I can only imagine the strong arm, bullying tactics that Bushler
uses to get his way. You know damn well he doesn't play fair. I'm sure that
can wear on a person. They all see the underbelly of government that we suspect
exists, but only talk about on blogs and messageboards. To actually swim around
in that cess pool--where government no longer belongs to "We The People" must
be incredibly distressing.

Too bad only a handful are even willing to acknowledge what is going on.

15. I just watched her too. She has been this way since I began observing her
before she got the speakership. Her strange mouth movements and gestures have just become more exaggerated. She is in way over her head and she knows it. When a person loses their self-assuredness it becomes more difficult to hide.

I have wondered for some time now if she has a drinking problem for some times she appears to be hungover. Something is certainly compounding and coming to the surface. I hope she will resign soon.

But the money's good in the season
Helps to lighten up her load
Boys keep her high as the months go by
She's getting postcards from the road

Can't you feel 'em circlin' honey?
Can't you feel 'em swimmin' around?
You got fins to the left, fins to the right,
and you're the only bait in town.
You got fins to the left, fins to the right,
and you're the only girl in town.

Nancy's problem is she can't tell sharks from dolphins, fins from fans.

So she heads for the "long green" ... and it ain't kelp.

20. I think Pelosi is under a great deal of pressure from all sides, and well she should be.
And Impeachment is STILL off the table. :wtf:

Apparently, Pelosi STILL HASN'T GOTTEN THE IMPEACHMENT MESSAGE.

I didn't get the impression that anything was wrong with her, meaning physically or mentally, but I did pick up that perhaps she doesn't care much for Wolfie Boy, and that she's tired and stressed out.

23. I saw a portion of her yesterday on TV as well.
Among other things, she seemed angry, but with the multi-ring diversionary-circus we seem to have for government, it's hard to guess what the cause truly is, all we know is what she's willing to reveal, and part of the revelation is body language.

Too much stress would seem part of the job description.

Perhaps she found her shadow.

I strongly suspect she will cave in to that "lovely George" again. I wish she would give him a blow job so Impeachment would get back on her table instead of serving him all the goodies he demands.

She certainly has not gotten a single troop out of Iraq, in fact the opposite has happened, there are more troops now in Iraq and more funding than before she was speaker. Fuck her, she needs to do the job we elected her to do and get those troops out.

31. I don't care about the strange facial tics...
...although I agree, the strain is showing.

What bugged me about that segment was that she was trying to say that they really are doing something to hold Bush accountable. When Wolf pressed her, she clarified and said that we are making the Republicans own the war -- first it was Bush's war, and Cheney's war; but now the Republicans in Congress have taken ownership of it. What I heard when she said that was, "We can't really do anything effective, but at least we can work it so we can score political points in the next election".

Now I know I'm boiling it down -- but that was the message. And that is NOT a winning message. This is not the time for politics as usual. This is the time for slash and burn. And our side is still triangulating.

Dayum.
