Blitzer Interview of Al Gore....My Quickly Jotted Notes..here..
Edited on Wed Sep-26-07 04:46 PM by KoKo01
Blitzer just announced his exclusive interview with Al Gore where he will be asked "Who is he going to endorse."

I'll try to listen and post ...but if anyone can help it will be welcome ...I might get interrupted with the wait. Usually they Hype then put Dem stuff on at the end of the program if anyone wants to tune in towards the end....

(I'm hoping he's not announcing an endorsement) ...it would finish off the end of a very bad day for many of us...:-(
---------------------------------------------
EDIT UPDATE:

I jotted some stuff down...India & China are interested in Newer Initiatives that go beyond Kyoto

Agreement that would be tougher. They've expressed "interest" but not a commitment, yet. He said US is big "stumbling block" to new initiatives. He's hopeful new leadership in Congress and New President will focus more on the issue.

Blitzer asked about Bush Administration and Gore said he's always hopeful that Bush and Cheney might make changes. Blitzer asks if Condi didn't seem to be more in favor of initiatives and Gore said it was really that Condi was "tweaking" the Bush language.

Blitzer asked Gore "who of the Candidates running might be the most committed to to doing something about climate change?" Gore said, "Several have spoken out and he's "optomistic" that "given time" more of the candidates might recognize the need to address the issue. Wolf asked him if there was anyone he would "endorse for President like he did Howard Dean" and Gore answered that "several have spoken out but it's still too early" and that "at one time I had hopes for John McCain, when I worked with him in the Senate."

Wolf pressed him on if he would endorse Hillary...and Gore answered: "It's still to early and I'm not endorsing anyone and he's not declaring." (on that one I thought Gore misheard Blitzer and thought Blitzer was asking about Hillary and if Al was going to run)

My Impressions: I think Gore is thinking about running but he's still watching and waiting. After the latest Dem cave in...he might be getting worried enough about America..that he might come in. I'm ever hopeful....

RUN AL RUN!!!! (I'm a Gore Supporter)

7. I didn't hear him say he is not declaring
Edited on Wed Sep-26-07 04:40 PM by marlakay
I heard him say he might not endorse anyone. I heard him say its early and there is still plenty of time for people to make up their minds.

Also about McCain it was about his views changing on global warming nor anything to do with Al endorsing him. Al made it clear he changed to get votes from the repubs.

9. Please re-read my post...I didn't say Al endorsed McCain.
Edited on Wed Sep-26-07 04:45 PM by KoKo01
I was shocked that at one time...way back when Al served in Senate...John McCain actually CARED about Global Warming. As to the other...Al just misinterpreted Wolf hammering him about endorsement and answered he wasn't ready to endorse anyone or commit...(which mean he thought Wolfe was pressuring him like all the media do to get him to say whether he will run or not).

8. Excellent interview...
...with the former Vice President. They discussed global warming and the U.S. role as a world leader. Pretty standard.

BUT... what stood out for me was:

1) Gore looks GREAT! (Presidential Candidate Great). Slim and tanned...nice Presidential suit. :7

2) Blitzer referred to him as 'Mr. Vice President'...the political title...and sometimes in these interviews it almost seems like some reporters have 'forgotten' he had that job for eight years. (I always thought that was very disrespectful.)
