Jenna Bush gives props to Chelsea Clinton
Jenna Bush's boyfriend proposed on hike

2 hours, 43 minutes ago

WASHINGTON - Jenna Bush said her "boyfriend" — she doesn't like the word "fiance" — proposed after rousting her at 4 a.m. to go hiking on Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park in Maine.

"It's supposedly where the sun first hits the United States," President Bush's daughter said in a television interview about her recent engagement to her longtime boyfriend, Henry Hager.

-snip-

When asked who was the child in the White House she always thought she'd want to emulate, she replied Chelsea Clinton, the daughter of former President Clinton and Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., a Democratic presidential candidate.

"I think Chelsea Clinton is, is very kind and, um, smart and articulate," she said.

"She's always been very friendly to us, but we just wanted to be ourselves, but she was, she's beautiful and poised all the time."

1. Jenna, do yourself a fucking favor and sign the enlistment papers.
Since you stated elsewhere you had faith in your father and supported the damn war, sign the fucking papers.

4. He rousted her at 4 AM? Out of BED? Shouldn't they be in separate, chaperoned environments?
Are we to imagine that there's a chance that the daughter of the pinhead who is pissing away hundreds of millions of dollars on thinly-veiled Jesus bullshit hectoring young people about how "true love waits" until marriage to fuck... might be acknowledging some pre-marital sleeping together?

THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!

If Bush's own daughters can't abstain until marriage, I want a fucking REFUND on all that faith-based, "abstinence only" crap.

9. Now now, calm down. I'm sure his butler phoned her maid and had the maid awaken her
to go out on the hike. I would expect nothing less than such propriety from the First Offspring.

13. It was a gracious thing to say. But I still think that if she's tacitly acknowledging what pretty
much EVERYONE in this country does; i.e. they -gasp- did it before getting married,
then can we finally CUT THE CRAP with regards to the millions of dollars we're pissing away on this "Abstinence Only" bullshit?

15. I think both democrats and republicans too easily criticize the children of presidents
Frankly, I'd rather the press just ignore the Chelsea's, Jenna's, etc. I know I wouldn't want to be judged by how people viewed my parents.
