A confidential document has surfaced that makes it clear U.S President Bush put pressure on many nations to back the Iraq war.

According to Spanish newspaper, El Pais, the confidential transcript was prepared by Spain's ambassador to the United States.

The transcript detailed a conversation between Spain’s former prime minister, Jose Maria Aznar and President Bush, when they met at the Bush ranch in Texas.

The conversation occurred one month before war was declared in Iraq and involved President Bush threatening nations with retaliation if they did not vote for a UN resolution backing the war.
