obama did not help himself tonight, Clinton started slow, Kucinich and Gravel entertaining and good as always. Biden and dodd I think did great. Edwards helped himself and richardson stayed on track

maintain our own position. I'm not sure why the media is so hot to get her nominated. Do they think she would be easy to beat or is she in with the dark side?

15. She won because she didnt lose. What the $@&* does that mean? |
|
I am biased and think Kucinich was very direct as usual and his support for our rights and the constitution at time when they are under attack was great to me. I think most of the candidates like the new power that the government has taken from us and that is why they don't touch that subject directly. I think our constitution is the most important issue we are facing, without our rights, no other subject matters.

24. Well, it means that since she's the 20-point frontrunner, |
|
realistically all she has to do from here on out is not fuck up. She didn't fuck up tonight, and neither Edwards nor Obama were so far-and-away better that she'll lose much ground. And when you're the frontrunner, that counts as a win.

25. Asked about Israel and she refused to answer? Presidential???? |
|
I disagree with the medias views on this one. Our country needs a new voice to stand up every chance they can and speak for us like Dennis Kucinich does. I don't think her sitting on the fence is going to carry her to victory, she better wake up before she gives it away. The only thing on her side is that she will probably get more votes because people want change and they are split with Edwards, Obama and Kucinich. I don't want a president picked by default, I want a new leader to give the power back to the people and I hope America wants that too.

America doesn't really want DK. I don't think I've ever seen Kucinich poll above 6%, even among Democrats, either this campaign or in 2004. Kind of sucks, but at least he's out there saying it for a few months every four years. Better than nothing.

20. It makes perfect sense |
|
When you're ahead by double-digits in almost every poll, and actually seem to be LEAVING your competitors further and further in your rear-view, if you don't lose, you win. It's that simple.
None of the other candidates did anything extraordinary; a few were worse (Obama)...a few were better (Biden). But what does that matter? It's going to take more than continuing to be "yourself" when you're behind in the polls by 10%-20%. You're going to have to make some news. You're going to have to think out of the box, and go on the attack, and try to cut into that lead.
None of the candidates did that.
People that think Edwards/Kucinich won are just wishful thinking. Edwards took 60 seconds to say "I grew up poor, and I'm not ashamed that I get $400 haircuts and made lots of money off the subprime market." Kucinch had some nice things to say, then said some off-the-wall things that most of the nation won't agree with (lowering the drinking age, AND voting age).

32. She wasn't as strong as she has been |
|
But she didn't have to be. She's playing it as if she's already won our nomination.
Let's say she did lose. So, what? She's now only up 18% on the field? 15%? She might not have won many people over that didn't already like her, but she didn't do anything to lose any of her supporters, either. And considering none of the others did anything remarkable to steal those voters away, the result is status quo.

She had an inappropriate grin on her face when Gravel confronted her about her Iran vote today. She started to spout Shrub rhetoric, sounding so eerily familiar to the lies we were fed prior to the war in Iraq. She smiled the whole time. My blood ran cold. Add that to leaving combat troops in Iraq, even colder.
I'm still trying to figure out her response on the gay question, and the non-answers on nuclear plants and on social security? Geeze.
