Authorities also have new information about the 4 to 5-year old girl at the center of the investigation. Police say that the video was made between 2003 and 2004 due to the make of the television and electronic equipment seen on the tape. They also say that the lingerie the girl is wearing was manufactured in the spring of 2003 by a company in North Carolina.

AMW has also received new digitally enhanced photos of the girl and the unknown man. Nye County Sheriff's detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying both girls and the unidentified male from the video. When 26-year-old Darren Tuck handed in a videotape to Nevada authorities on September 8, 2007, it began an investigation into an appalling case of sexual abuse against a child. On the tape, authorities say, are disturbing images of an adult male sexually assaulting an adolescent girl.

Detective David Boruchowitz told AMW that Tuck claimed he found the tape out in the desert, but cops believe that Tuck had the video for five months prior and was showing it to friends. Police also say that the video does not have the wear and tear that one would expect it to have from desert exposure.

While Tuck isn't seen on the video, cops say that an unknown adult male can be seen performing sexual acts on an unidentified young girl. The girl looks to be between the ages of 4 and 5 and police have few clues as to who the girl is or where she's from. Detectives say that they don't believe Tuck made the tape and they are currently trying to ascertain the identities and location of both the little girl and the adult male.

If not, that leaves one to wonder if that SOB is her biological parent or something. If that's the case, shouldn't she be school age at this time (7 or 8yo)? Is she being kept out of school?

The very idea that a person could get away with enslaving/abusing a child for this long tells you all you need to know about this society.

The man in the video still looks like he could be her father or a relative. It's entirely possible that she's never been reported missing or abused because her family is part of the abuse.

I hope that America's Most Wanted corrects the text. I hope it was simply an error on the part of whomever wrote the text.

However, it reminds me of the media coverage of the rape and murder by U.S. troops of the little girl in Iraq. Media in the U.S. kept reporting that a "woman" was raped and murdered. She was fourteen. This may be a "woman" in some people's minds, but most of us recognize fourteen as a child.

Describing a toddler as "adolescent," when the term refers to someone who is sexually nearing maturity, is flat-out wrong.

17. OMG! I think I know her. Look at the little girl in this picture and see what you think.

I met this woman at my restaurant back around the beginning of December and started dating her. She was from Nevada and said she was running from an "abusive boyfriend". She was staying in the motel that my restaurant shared a parking lot with.

Long story short, I let her move in with me but kicked her out about 4 weeks later (right after christmas) when I caught her stealing money from me and using meth.

She wound up staying with some long haul trucker, taking care of his house and kids while he was on the road. A few weeks later, I heard she was on the run because she had taken the trucker's 13 year old daughter over to meet some 26 year old guy.... who raped the 13 year old....

This may be nothing, but it never hurts to check and be 100% sure..

is from Nevada. The mother was supposedly on the run from an "abusive boyfriend", but is now on the run for accessory to and facilitation of rape of a 13 year old.

The little girl in your photo does look like she could be the same girl who was in the video. But for sure, the little girl in your photo is not in a good home situation. And the reason I didn't use the other pic in teh OP is that it lacked color and was grainy, IMO, and the girl's face seemed a little distorted from the angle.

Often times, when people who have brown eyes have photos taken, the iris shows as a glare -- a white spot. That's another reason I thought the girl in the pic you posted had darker eyes than the girl in the OP.

Nevertheless, I still think there are other differing facial features that lead me to believe they are not the same girl.

I'm a little more calm right now, but I was filled with raw emotion over this earlier. You see, I had skimmed through a little about this last night while I was tired and half asleep and my first thought then was "that looks kinda like a young version of Kayla", but for some reason I thought it happened in North Carolina, and just recently. When I re-read it today and saw that it was Nevada and the tape was a couple years old I kinda freaked a little bit.

Upon going back and reading again I saw that it was the lingerie the girl was wearing that was made in NC and thats where I got the NC connection...

44. If I were you this is what I would do:

Visit nyesheriff.net there is a link there to contact them with any info. Relay the entire story (in the pics it looks like the 4-5 yr. old could be in a hotel room) and send them your photos. If they think there is a resemblance, then they'll know they need to cast a much wider net, and that mom is on the run with her again.

If they don't think that it's the same child, then you will also have peace of mind.

I've seen a couple of vehicles during the past couple of months with Nevada tags, and I've been trying really hard to remember the occupants in the vehicles.

And I'm sure the authorities have facial recognition software which could detect whether or not the two of them are the same person.
