Poll question: Have you decided on a PRIMARY candidate--REALLY decided? |
|
Edited on Thu Sep-27-07 02:09 PM by blondeatlast
As in, there is slim to no chance you could change your mind before your state's primary?
FWIW, I'm posting this because while we are being told by the MSM that there are precious few Democratic leaders, it seems to me most Democrats (not just DUers) are a long way from a decision, much less committing money, time, or a vote to them. Therefore, I think talk of any Democratic being the likely choice is way premature--and possibly manipulation.
If you've definitely crossed a candidate off, but have no firm choice, please choose "other," which is why I made this binary.
Thank you.
Edit: I should have definitely put "Primary" in the SL--I am not interested in the GE, and would prefer no pimping, but do what you will...

I'm interested in Obama, because he's the leading democratic candidate, but it's entirely up in the air.

4. General Clark has always been my one and only candidate |
|
I am almost resolved to the notion that he will not run. My state's (Mississippi) primary is impotent and late so my primary vote is irrelevant, but given the opportunity I will write in General Clark's name.
I WILL HOWEVER VOTE FOR WHOMEVER THE DEMS NOMINATE AND WILL URGE THE NOMINEE TO ENSURE THAT GENERAL CLARK IS IN THEIR ADMINISTRATION ...

to accept your subject line however he will make an awesome Secretary of State. His talents will be needed after all the damage dumbass rice has done the past 3+ years.
I think Hillary would have made a great Secretary of Health and Human Services in President Clark's administration.

5. I have decided on Edwards because he seems to be the only candidate truly invested in the people. |
|
He is the only candidate to put poverty and labor issues front and center.I also believe he is the only candidate who will definitively win against the GOP. He is polling will the largest percentages against GOP contenders overall. We cannot afford to take "chances". in this election.

I have decided Edwards because I feel he is really the one for the average American worker who desperately needs help. I feel he is an honest broker and has the fire to win. BUT if there were a chance in the world for Dennis to pull it off I would switch quickly. I don't think there is though and this is no time to just make a statement. I like Obama and Richardson too.

19. No, but I've narrowed it down to probably two.. |
|
although I'm wavering kind of towards a third. I was the same way the last time. It was between Edwards and Clark the whole time with Kerry a close third. I had no idea who was I going to vote for until I got in the booth.
Anyway, by the time Virginia votes, it'll all be over anyway, but I still do my civic duty, and it makes my conscience feel better if I can vote MY choice at least just once.
On the other hand, I may just vote in the repub primary just to be able to vote AGAINST somebody.
I'll see when the time comes.

23. Im a Gore Democrat sitting back waiting for better times, which is to say .... |
|
I'm sitting back watching the rest of them slit each other's throats. If Gore doesn't run my choices run first to Kucinich, then to Edwards, then to Biden, then to Richardson. I don't find Dodd a viable candidate, Gravel either. I will not support Clinton or Obama in the primarys and if one of them turns out to be the candidate I will do nothing to get them into office other than vote a straight Democratic ticket in the General election - no contribution, no canvasing, no person-to-person talks with neighbors, no nothing.

He is right on the issues, right in healing the nation, and right in addressing the dominance of corporations.
Show me another candidate that will use the billions currently wasted on corporate welfare for the war machine and will work for the American people, and I can be convinced, but until then...
