Why is DU running Michelle Malkin ads?

I've seen them popping up in text ads, and just now a big banner ad for her blog just popped up on the bottom of the screen. What's up with that?

public financing of campaigns, but that doesn't remove the fact that Skinner needs money to run this board. We may have "Free Speech", (and that's a big maybe these days) but affective speech costs money.
